Hehe...from my experience 98SE was more stable than XP. And 2000 blows it out of the water...but none of them can even compare to unix, linux, bsd, or the plethora of other good OS's.
I think you are taking that a little out of context buddy. I no way did he say p2p of copyrighted works was legal. What he stated was that there was little or no evidence supplied by the...ummm...those Canadian music guys. So basically the...ummm...those Canadian music guys only argument was that it was _possible_ for these users to "share" the copyrighted works...no proof that the sharing had actually happened. It was a good ruling IMO because of this but that does _not_ mean that sharing copyrighted works is legal or should be done.
I've been using the unstable versions of 2.0 for quite some time...and I must say 2.0 is absolutely awesome. I would take it over photoshop or paint shop pro and day of the week.
I remember back in 1998 when Microsoft was trying to trademark Internet Explorer...but it was already trademarked by a small company who then tried to sue Microsoft and protect their name before they went bankrupt from legal bills. One of the defenses Microsoft used was that the term Internet Explorer was generic and could therefore not be trademarked.
All kids wrestle and hurt each other at least once in their lives...whether they have played WWE Raw Slamtastic Kickboxing Nunchuck Edition or not.
Kids should know what is right and wrong...what is real and what is not. If they fail to understand these things...it is the fault of their teachers(parents) for not teaching them proper behavior.
Stop pointing the finger damn it!:P
This is why I play on a server that limits arty and only allows one panzer per team. Also spawn killing/camping is a kickable offense and as I have admin powers...I can kick the little bitches that don't follow the rules.:)

I'd be curious if there's any relationship between the non-slowing of the earth's rotation and the decrease in the earth's magnetic field, mentioned in Slashdot a couple of weeks ago.

Yes this is what I thought of as well. Isn't the earth ready for a "magnetic flip" within the next 20,000 years or so? Could be interesting...wish I would be around when it happens.

Come on get real. The dmca will never be used to cancel free speech.....

Ya, kind of like how the FCC _was_ not intended to limit free speech...we all see how that has turned out. The government will do what is best for the government. A government for the people is long gone.
Oh shit thats funny. Took me a while to figure out it was a paper clip(i'm a little slow) but once I did I was crying in laughter. This whole topic has been humorous...first the "BIGHAIRYBALLS" and now this.
Oh boy, more useless cr@p in an already useless and cr@ppy OS. ANd let me guess, these features are "closely tied to the OS" and cannot be uninstalled?...and whenever the crappily coded blog apps fail it brings the whole system down? Ha...this really doesn't even concern me anymore as I am now 100% MS free with gentoo linux and lovin every minute of it.
Does MS really need to add more useless bulk???
It's much simpler to write the files to a cd image and then rip the image to mp3 or ogg or whatever. You save 25 cents as well as a little time.

"Damn mongowians...stop destrowying my shitty wall."
Damn there's some good music on that site I've never heard of. Thanks.

Then Zipped folders. (Notice no one complained about that?) Uh...I complained about that. :S

Otherwise Windows IS trademarkable. Have a look at this nice table of trademark categories.
Whether or not Microsoft has a case against Lindows is another topic altogether.
Nowadays there is no such thing as "bad publicity" when it comes to business. :P
Oh dear God...what will be next? Having everything task-based like foghorn is supposed to be? Have you seen those hellish step-by-step menus?
