    It's very convenient to paint all of them with the same brush because that makes Apple look as bad as others, not more. While the fact is, this whole saga is started by apple and others had to get dragged into it.

    Well said. But I am loving this story for multiple dose of Irony. The biggest bunch of Apple fanbois out there (who defended Apple no matter what in all the lawsuits and other sill legal stuff the company has been pulling over others) got their panties in a bunch by none other than Apple.

    Gizmodo are not your regular Apple fanbois - they have history of banning people from commenting anything anti-apple. They are the biggest hype machine out there - and for sole reason of pageviews. It would be greatly satisfying to see how (if at all) their apple coverage changes after this. They will have to literally sit down and decide if ass-pounding-jailtme-for-few-small-employees is worth the pageviews they are getting.

    Why FB has to be a replacement of real social life interaction? Oh, you mean, the day you sign up for FB, you will physically be unable to engage in any real social behavior?

    I am on FB - but that's just so that I don't have to remember who is married to whom and all that. In fact, if you want, you can engage in more real social life with help of FB or any similar sites. One example - It's common to see Flickr users to arrange meet-ups.

    It's not always A OR B.

    I do not have problem Apple bundling their OS with their hardware. I have problem with Apple preventing others from doing whatever they want with their _own_ hardware they have _purchased_ from Apple. There is a big difference, and I wonder how you fail to notice it.
