You remember what happened, when Alexander Graham Bell added a third phone to his 'network'. He was relaxing in his bath when the phone rang. Wet like a dog he hobbled to the phone just do detect the first ever 'wrong number'.
"There's a difference between "foreign intelligence services know where your military base is" and "every wahoo with an internet connection knows where your military base is."
So if foreign secret service know it bit's OK but if Bubba from Idaho knows it it's a problem?
"Yeah, let me know when we get a robot that can do steaks."
Any decent robot should be able to use a George Foreman Grill to do steaks.
Also a robot wouldn't flip burger, it would use an assembly line grill that would grill the burger on both sides until it's done when it gets out the other side. Automatic bakeries do it that way too.
"If you do it on a first come, first serve basis, I guarantee it won't take one week for the first physical encounters to happen over a 1st class seat..."
Indeed. Disclaimer: I'm from Luxembourg and I worked as a railway dispatcher for 40 years.
1. Class (+25€ per month) is used by people who want to get seated in overcrowded commuter trains where half the people are standing. The rest is occupied by railway workers from middle management upwards, because they can use that one for free, just like the rest uses 2. class for free. Also, train ticket controllers and sellers earn between 60.000 and 80.000€ a year, (not to mention QA, Finance and other top jobs who earn much more) so if those jobs are not needed anymore, just as all the expensive electronic ticketing, the vending machines and their IT, the 'free' part doesn't cost much in the end.
Also bus drivers won't be attacked for the money if there isn't any anymore.
And that's the law!
Being jet-lagged a couple of hours earlier and longer was so much fun.
I'll be so rich.
There countries actually working on the problem.

Can he spread fake news, like a real Russian bot?
"Does the laptop have a caps lock key, and if it does, is there a caps lock indicator?"
You know that you can disable the Caps-lock key?
First thing I do on a new machine.
There's even an app for that. :-)
The iPhone crowd have their own messaging system and the rest uses whatsapp et al.
If the tax gets through, the latter will be used by everyone.
"Our Government's $41 million investment into the agency "
It's Australia, they are taking giant leaps with an empty pouch, even the animals there are doing it that way.

"Secrecy comes in degrees."
Stupidity too.
"Europe boasts top universities doing work in AI, such as Oxford, University College London, and ETH Zurich, "
The last one isn't in the EU and the first 2 won't be in a couple of months.
Problem solved.
"TV is terrible for news because it's the easiest way to make something sensational that doesn't need to be."
Care to give us a few examples of news that NEED to be sensational?

"those used to CD's didn't like the compression artifacts of MP3's,"
If you hear a difference, your hearing is damaged and you should consult a specialist.
...the women's rest room.
"A city is not a country. This isn't the middle ages."
They are not talking about Luxembourg-City, the are talking about the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg.
Only crazy people use the car in the city.
"33 hours a year in traffic jams on average? If you make 10 trips a week for 50 weeks ..."
I'll stop you right there, everybody has at least 5-7 weeks of vacation (depending on the job) and they take every single day, all of them.
Second, the country is 40*60 miles, normally people would only need between 5 and 20 minutes if there was no traffic jam.
"I LIKE YOUR LOGIC...nothing in life is FREE. We should all know that by now."
Since you like uppercase...
TANSTAAFL
"You may not be paying for it when you use it, but it's being paid for though taxation. It's not free, far from it. "
Yes, it's like roads, highways, schools and university, all 'free' here as well.
"Did collecting $2.27 cost them more than $2.27?"
Exactly! That's why it isn't a big step.
"Does that include shared helicopter flights?"
The only way to share a helicopter flight in Luxembourg is to ride with the doctor to the hospital if you're in an accident.
"young people (20 to 25) can get free travel "
People under 20 are completely free since last year, 20-25 ride for free to their respective schools.
"You might want some form of policing anyway. "
There are security people who ride along most trains anyway, on top of the ticket vendors controllers in the trains.

The naughty hackers left electronic tools and devices back and the investigation has determined that they were all 'made in China'.
