Ex: a Nintendo DS is much more powerful than Eniac that it's not even on the same scale. Simply wait X years for computing power to reach the necessary level to simulate a neuron completely (if, again, we ever know and understand everything we need to know about neurons).
While I agree that this simulation won't emulate all parts of a neuron, what I'm saying is that once all the details of neurons are understood (if we ever get to that point), it could be emulated without chemical reactions.

because 8 million people finally understood that they could buy single tracks online and not have to waste 20$ to get the two or three tunes they really wanted.
The other 9 million either went broke, discovered illegal file-sharing or simply got tired of the crap the industry is producing and moved to other things like books, movies, videogames or that new amazing thing called going outside. I hear the 3D is amazing.

But in the end it's all information and processing, no matter the method of communicating or processing.
So no it won't emulate a real brain, but as long as the end result is the same, why bother with the details ?

But since it's lossless, it's possible to go from Apple Lossless to WAV to FLAC, you're not "locked" into Apple Lossless.
I'm still wondering why Apple went to Dolby for AAC but choose to make their own format instead of simply using FLAC.
Screen captures are made in 24-bit PNG format, so it's not like Apple is anti-open formats.
