Somehow we've come to accept that $300 is somehow "just punishment" for speeding, when it's really just a raw revenue grab with many officer's time dedicated to just that. We've been conditioned that this is ok, in the country of No Taxation Without Representation!

Yes, that's what the elites do, sit around and think of nonsense jobs. How else could a position like political scientist exist?

Interesting, according to Aubrey "I got lucky and [Dan P. Ismailescu] got unlucky". Also, the "problem was ripe for the picking. And while we like your proof better, we are very happy that ours is different." says Dan P. Ismailescu about teaming with Geoffrey Exoo for three years. Refreshing the respect these guys show each other.

  7. If a child is "addicted" to mobile devices, it's an issue with parenting.

Talking about addiction: to the extent that marketing teams directly target children, society & the law do not agree with you. Reduced personal responsibility and bad parenting are being enabled by tech, by creating virtual baby-sitting spaces and putting "switches" & "gates" on entire domains of human activity, giving social designers great big attenuating knobs to dial in desired results. So seriously, how is good parenting taught and promoted (I agree with you)?

^^^ This. I've run over a dozen media TV boxes (all the name brands plus) with two different routers from VerizonFios. Chromecast would occasionally make the older router choke. Problem solved when I settled on a generic Android box, because they are the only ones able to play all formats.
