I bought a 19" Visual Sensations monitor about 5 years ago. It has been the best computer purchase I have ever made. Even after all this time, there is almost no noticable convolution problems (which always happens as monitors get old, the left side of the screen gets a blue edge and the right a red edge).
I hardly think that using the system print spoolers of different OS's constitutes a fair compairson of hardware. Not to mention that Photoshop and Photostyler probably use very different routines for printing. Did Photostyler even do color matching using a profile for you printer?
I think you are missing his point. Black box programming hides details from you, which is in most cases a good thing, but is not intrisicly good. Being able to use WinSock to write a network application does not a network programer make.
Actually, its based on the Book-E standard, same as the 601, 603, 604, G3, G4, etc. So, assuming all the execution units are present (i.e., AltiVec), it should run the same code. Book-E is a 64 bit archetechure that can be implemented as a 32 bit version.
I normally don't post comments like this, but the suggestion that they take out parts to not offend people is just plain dumb. The people who would buy it *want* to see all of it, not what some censor decided was offensive.
I happen to own a English/Chinese subtitle Region Free DVD i got off of ebay. It may be a Hong Kong knock-off (the subtitle timing is a bit odd in places).
The big thing about letting the power company do your emissions for you is they can do it far more efficiently than you could ever with a power plant that has to move. The power companies live by how many miles per gallon they can get, so to speak.
Actually, I was installing some Perl modules for my mp3 jukebox (gc netjuke) and found many of them had 'make test' as part of the standard installation instructions.
It doesn't matter if it is easy. What matters is is it intuitive? What's Joe Schmoe going to do about the fact that when ever he opens a *.html file, IE opens. It works, he can see it. Who cares that he has Mozillia and Opera installed. ****He isn't even aware that there is a choice. ****
while it maybe true that the Prowler is in high demand because of it nostaglic *look*, it is a completely modern car, which *is* compatable all unleaded gasoline and is easly serviced by a massive infrastructure. Amiga will only succed if it can leaverage the huge installed base of pc's out there. otherwise it will be just a cool toy, like the BeBox.:-) -----
this is pretty muddled, as i am having a bad day. I know I am probably not the norm, but I find the net extremely useful. there isn't a day that i don't use it to look up some obscure fact. I use it as a huge library. But hooking everyone up is not a good idea until they know how to use it, or at least until they have someone to show them the basics. otherwise it will be fair game for marketers. think of what would happen if some corporation installed a tv into every house in the third world. -----
actually, had something better than the Space Shuttle come along, we would probably have colonies on the moon by now. the space shuttle is one of the biggest wastes (cost per lbs of paload) that we have ever used. -----
I see two issues here. 1. Microsoft owns the copyright on the single comment posted I agree that they should have the right to request that a web site take down the copyrighted material. and 2. Does Microsoft actually own the copyright on the document? I don't believe they have the right to copyright a slight modification of an industry standard protocall, especially when they limit functionality and don't extend it, and just handing it out on the web is not anyway to keep a trade secret.
Now, by releasing the source in a "protected" form, they prevent any one from reverse-engineering it legally and have the option to prosecute when somebody comes out with a product that can hook into it, such as Samba. seems like a load of shit to me -----
I think it is important to make the distinction of intent. An H-bomb has only one purpose, and can only really do ONE thing; that cause mass distruction. Code however is much more like a disarmed and disected bomb, it has be learned from/modified and possible used for good. That should be the distiction between banning DeCSS or not.
The correct choice would be "invented words that write 150,000 times faster than a pencil" . . .
I normally don't do this, but . . . its escaltator
Yes, and I commend MS for breaking my box three times with their Software Update.

How do ordinary citizens support junk mail since the US Post Office is fully self supported?

17+ dirs is a measure of how much crap has accumulated on the hd, now why office is wonky
why install telnet ever?
you applaud them for the sense to make good rules and that they are following them. not everybody sees things as simple and straight-forward as you.
