But uv course we 'ad it tough... we used to have to get up at 5 am, two hours before the big bang, to glue quarks together with spit and duct tape ALLLL day long and when we got home our dad would divide us by zero and blink us out of existence!

  2. Re:Evolved? on Do Plants Practice Grid Computing? · · Score: 1

Nah, it does not speak to creationism at all. Perhaps this function of plants and other functions of other life are the way they are because there was *no other way* to do it. The wheel is round not because we as creators diegned to make it round, but because any other shape would not work as well. Perhaps Thag and Lothar started with a square and realised "hmm, that not roll too well, let's cut off corners". If there was some kind of consciousness behind lifeforms, that consciousness should be fired for being grossly incompetent and just plain sadistic.

i know who you are TyrranzzX... If there was a group of ppl watching a gorgeous sunset, filling them with joy and wonder, you'd be the guy whining about how the colors are unnatural and the result of pollution. While it would be true, you'd rather suck the life out of the moment and destroy it for everyone else becuase you are so bitter. You are a cynic of the worst kind, you repress hope in others AND are self righteous about it. Being a moral crusader will not bring you happiness or friends. Have your beliefs and strive for them, but don't share your misery. Relax Grow Up Stop raining on other people's sunny days See the good in people and yourself

Would one of the people on this thread who opposed the war come out and say that "If we had not invaded iraq would be better off ten years from now with saddam still in charge and the sanctions in place"? If you can make that assertion with a straight face i will stop bathing, start listening to phish and be high 24/7 like the rest of the pansies who don't understand politics or international relations.

@ Let them die?! SADDAM LET THEM DIE! The sanctions were started because of saddam, the sanctions lasted as long as they did because of saddam. The sanctions will end because saddam is not in power. You anonymous COWARD, get your facts straight. Monday morning quarterback. Are you 12? 8. Loved it on New Battlestar Galactica - Worth a Series? · · Score: 1

@ i thouroughly enjoyed the BSG miniseries. The space combat was shown as SPACE combat with fully multidimensional moment rather than as a atmospheric dogfight in a black sky. Starbuck was really cool. The sex stuff was nice, but needs to be tuned down a bit if they want to keep it on the air. i like the story line and the whole dramatic irony of earth being refered to as a mythical colony, it reminds me of Asimov's foundation series.

  9. W00 H000! on Israeli Ministry of Commerce Picks OO.org Over MS · · Score: 1

@ This is good news. Even if OO has a few issues, it can do all the important things just as well as MSO and for an infintesimal price (free). And most importantly it can be customized by the user if they get the SDK. @ In your interface, bill.
