Here here. Here's a solution. Why don't we just continue to call it what it is. Why does Microsoft feel the need to try to dumb down everything that has to do the PC.

Have you tried using CrossOver Office? I use it on my Linux box and am able to run IE with no problems. It is really just a fancy frontend to Wine, but it works great.

Actually in all seriousness this is a valid point. Imagine a lady being followed by someone on foot and needing to get out of there in a hurry. I for one don't won't my wife having to wait around where she is in danger waiting for a breathalyzer to complete so she can start her car.

I call shenannigans on this whole idea. I have already copyrighted the entire alphabet to include the formation of letters in a certain sequence to create what I call "words (c)." Therefore any database would violate my standing copyright. Use of any of the letters without express written consent is strictly prohibited.

  6. Re:Fire Codes on The Problem Of Unused Cabling · · Score: 1

I was just thinking about that as well. At a previous job (in the halls of academia) we all had University issued respirator hoods. Should a fire break out, it seems that the materials that were used in the older cabling put off some really nasty gasses when they burn. Of course being your typical University IT department, we were located two floors underground in an area with no windows and one stair well in and out. Should a fire have broken out, I think the hoods would have been moot.

  8. Deja Vu on Microsoft to Launch MSN Music Service in 2004 · · Score: 3, Insightful

I am in awe of these compaines wanting to jump on the online music bandwagon. I believe with everyone putting all their "eggs" so to speak in the online music basket they are setting themselves up for what I believe could be akin to the .com burst. With so many new online music services coming online, the only for-profit entity coming out ahead are the labels. With the strong-arm tactics currently being used by the RIAA and such towards file swappers, I can imagine there is a lot of overhead involved to run an online music store.
