And, on top of it, many many techs like me are ready to get "in arms" in the case DMCA-shit/Software-patenting-shit creeps into our legislation -- we're watching it!
You're kidding yourself if you think you'l be able to do anything if your government moves that direction, and your populice doesn't care. Tech issues are too complicated for the public, and far, FAR too complicated for legislators.
The CG in Spiderman 2 was utter crap. When Doc Ock climbed the side of that building, I thought I was watching a clip from the upcoming video game. It was shittier than The Hulk even, and that's really saying something.
>>Which means more jobs! So it isn't all bad.:)
It is all bad, if "just keeping everyone else off your network" would be cheaper in the long run. Hiring people to do unneccessary work is called misallocation of labor. If someone is (mis)hired to do work like that, that'll mean two less jobs (or lower wage rates), due to less real production.
Does this explain why ping-pong is so popular in asia?
The US ceased to be the home of capitalism long ago.

Hey, they've already reimplemented Windows 98!
What does capitalism have to do with the government's patent system?
>>(Yes, I know this argument is flawed.) That about sums it up nicely.

Is the "t" silent?
