Remember, Spike is the first network for men, NOT the first network for nerds.
I feel that Spike is trying to make the awards for those average Joes who like to play GTA and such, and don't have the time for in depth analysis of certain points of games.
We're only part of the market guys, we shouldn't be selfish and count out the rest of the world. What may be a train wreck for us, may be a good time for others.
How do you feel about becoming a big name, one of the things you dispise most? How do you feel about becoming something you have stated hatred to?
This is not meant as a flamebait and I await an answer.
All this talk of Nintendo being on crack doesn't matter much. Even if the system isn't that great, Nintendo has a star line-up of games. Just the fact that Square is releasing Final Fantasy 3 (which never before came to america) to the handheld will win over thousands from the PSP.
With good marketing and a few good games, it'll be fine.
I've been using my iPod to read eBooks. While it is very convenient, it does have a major flaw. After a certain number of lines, the iPod will stop displaying anymore text from that document. You need to divide the eBook into many different files, so that you won't miss anything.

My little google's finally growing up. Time to take off the training wheels.
