    Stop being a wuss, it's not that hard to install stuff in Linux. If you really do find it so difficult, I'm sure you can find something from FisherPrice at your local ToysRus.

    Who cares if the processor is slow or fast. The only bench mark I care about is "Will it play the game that I bought for it?". I don't care if MS or Sony use Quad Optertons, with 1 TB of RAM or a P2 slot 1 333 and CF card.

    As long at it plays the game I bought, it will be "fast enough"

    No FUD..

    I would just like to be able to boot into a linux disto, make a couple of clicks and have my dual monitors "Just Work". Since I am working in GUI, I shouldn't have to play around with a ton of CLI options to maybe get my monitors to work..

    Hell, I didn't even see out of the box support on Suse and they claim on their site that it's easily implemented

    I created the image I used for my home machines, of Xp, Office, and SP2 in about 1 hour, including burning it to a DVD.

    Even if it would take 8 hours, instread of spending all day to install a machine, upon using an image or custom DVD twice, he would be ahead

    (Blah blah yea I could use images, but with no hardware standard it's a LOT easier just to not screw with that and let windows discover all the drivers.) Just becuase you don't have an stardard PC base, doesn't mean you have to slipstream the drivers in...Creating an image XP, with office, anti-virus, and any other software and configurtion would drop you "entire" day...down to about 30 minutes..

    Other companies take great notice in this..it makes the other compaines think that the company that is "laywering up" has something to protect..and is watched very vey carefully..

    I suppport no company rabidly...not a single one. I want Linux and Mac to do awesome things. It cause new things to develop. Mac does something, and Microsoft returns the volly...and then Linux turns aroung and ups the pot some more, and the comsumers are the winners just about everytime.

    What I have a problem with is fanatics, or anti-corp BS..if you thinks corporations are "evil" then move out of this country..stop talking to the people who live next door to you..becuase they are the ones working at the "evil" corporations..still don't like "gigantic corporation", stop driving a car, watching TV, talking on the phone, eating (unless you grow ALL of it yourself, from seeds you gathered), etc.. they hall have big companies behind them..

    And lastly...if you think that the RMS doesn't want the exact same thing that Bill Gates wants, i.e. power...you are sadly mistaken.

    FYI, I have x86, sparc and mac hardware in my home, and have a Gentoo webserver sitting right next to my 2003 server.

    They killed Nintendo, who had what...20 years with consoles, got the Live network up and running faster then Sony did, and all this being THIRD to market... Additionally they got thier name in the living rooms of millions of households...made two Game of the Years, and have millions drooling over the x-box 360.

    Ya, I gues you are right...they completely failed at the target...unless the target wasn't to make money the first time around...but then again..they always said they were going to lose money on the x-box..

    I bet they plan to fail as much at the x-box 360

    Microsoft is under 'attack' on all fronts, and either needs to inovate or die.

    Microsoft is about likely to go under as IBM, they may take a hit now and again, they they always come out fighting.. Look atthe X-Box, they had no real console based experenice before, yet they managed to give Sony a good fight, even debuting a year after Sony... I expect that the new version of IE will have everything that FF has, and more...it's just how MS does things...

    I have always looked at MS as a big mean dog...you really don't want to mess with them, and you really really don't want to back them in a corner..

    Please don't talk this as pro-MS, it's more of a pro-reality statement

    Well I know plenty of professionals that don't toss away a tool just because there is a better one out there. I have FF and IE installed, and in day to day tasks, I use both.. real professionals use all the tools they have at their disposal

    You have to move the PAGE file to a seperate drive and it has to be on a seperate controller, before you'll see much benefit - not just to a seperate partition

    Actually you can...The RIAA/MPAA are only going after the people offering it for download, from either P2P, torrent, etc. becuase they are easier to catch (hence cheaper to catch) then going after every downloader. If you have one downloader, he can supply it to 500, 1000, 10,000 leeches who will never share it. Stop spreading your own FUD
