This is a new model that is able to make predictions faster!!!! geez, does anyone RTFA??? Or maybe there are some here that cannot believe that the Japs can do something better than the Yanks? Just saying.
Why would you put your personal data in "the cloud". It seems to me that there are plenty of just-as-secure options in NAS, or have I been duped by that as well?
It covers most of the calculus we see here in our pre-tertiary Year 12 Maths B in Queensland, Australia, and some from year 12 Maths C. For those who don't know what that means 12B is mostly calculus and trig, 12C covers some calculus - volumes and arc length - with matrices, vectors, group theory, mechanics using calculus, decaying periodic functions. I'll be referring my students to this as a top-up.
If I pour crude oil into the ocean, destroy the livelyhoods of fishing communities and kill a few of people on an oil platform in a gas fire (and destroy some evidence), I'll get a couple of hundred $k fine. If I buy a gun and go out and shoot the same number of people (and survive the manhunt) I'll get the rest of my life being a jailhouse bitch. Now, I wonder which I would choose?? Haliburton, do you have any vacancies???

are often simple to use when they come to fruition. One could say this approach was obvious - so obvious in fact that no-one else has made it work yet. It quite likely needs some fine tuning but what implementation of an idea does not? Good work!
I just sent this email to Adecco from their contact us page.
" Nice work Adecco - stealing someone else's work and ideas and claiming them as your own. Shame on you! Look on the web - The Striesland Effect is alive and well on Twitter, Facebook, Slashdot and others."
Excellent software that is easy to install and uses and provides additional functionality besides video. Highly recommended! Just hanging out for further development of ML for the 5d mk3.
Geeze, Australia doesn't have this or that amendment to the constitution - Guys we ARE NOT a state of the USA. We have our own laws, and currently (legal) gun ownership is restricted. Frankly I believe that Australia is generally a safer place since the Howard government restricted legal gun ownership. Yes I know I'll be modded down and adversely commented on by those of you in the US who have the "right to bear arms", but frankly I don't give a flying fuck about your rights - I'm only interested in my rights and the safety of me and my family. So yes 3D printed guns should be banned here in oz. And I know that I'l get the storm of "yes but the crims and bikie gangs can get guns". Yes they can, and as far as I'm concerned they can go and shoot each other.
You are obviously not a teacher although you may well be a scientist. Teachers either tell the kids what to do or encourage them to explore and THEN discuss results/flaws/improvements. After 33 years as an educator I can assure you that the latter is the most effective method and is a better preparation for pre-tertiary science. In addition I'll bet that the first "scientists" did not think about controls, they just collected evidence. This experiment is just that, a collection of evidence.
This is exactly what we should be encouraging kids to do. Regardless of lack of control or other "missing" experimental methods, this is a significant scientific result for a bunch of 9th graders. Good on them and good on their teacher for encouraging them to do the experiment and having the balls to publish it.
Endangered species... BAH! what have they ever done for us? You never see the painted snipe holding a placard "save the humans" now do you? [obligatory monty python non-quote]
Sadly your post is indicative of money vs environment and all too frequently money wins because not enough people give a flying fuck about the painted snipe ( or whatever )
Actually whilst the biggest deposits in Oz are brown ( if I remember correctly that is) the biggest exports are in black coal - more energy for you buck
WTF
What gives you the right to complain about China if you live in USA or EU . Christ you've been fucking up the planet for decades - no centuries, and now you have the gall to complain about China. Where was all the work you did to avoid it? Oh yes that's right into the pockets of "Global Corporations" global rapists more like......... Geez I though I'd heard it all!
Yes, as my uncle said to me once ( He's an MD, PhD and DSc) " a doctorate is part of the process of learning more and more about less and less until you know everything about nothing"
As a ham operator VK4YEH, I appreciate this solution, but sadly, realistically it is not and will not be available to most people. OH well back to my ham shack.......

Unless you are carrying a 10" device then many bum bags will suffice. If you are worried about someone cutting the strap then consider a pacsafe.

Ahh yes, a blast from the past - War of the Worlds is a classic! Still have my vinyl record somewhere ...... Richard Burton the master story teller.
And you've done what? AC? Of course you haven't done anything except shoot your idiotic mouth off. Fucking Moron!

an appropriate response to an asshat. Not living un the US I have no opinion or idea how this will be received, but a good story nevertheless.

Yes, it does appear to be snappier. But hey, what would I know? (please don't answer that)

should genes be patentable, but it seems that we maybe have lost that one (sadly)
Quite. To quote Monty Python ( and show my age) " ...... as long as you realise that "up to" clearly includes the number zero"
I couldn't have said it better - thank you!
