    Well, there is coLinux (hard to setup), Cygwin (A port of GNU to Windows, easy to setup), and User Mode Linux's Cygwin port (easy as UML for Linux, just needs the linux binary and cygwin.dll). I think that Linux compatibility is well handled by the Opensource community..........

    You could try the -tiny branch of the Linux 2.6 kernel. Please note, however, that I have yet to actually try out linux-tiny, so you may or may not have luck with this. I will reply to this, either here, or via e-mail once I have actually gotten linux-tiny to run (weekend project).

    At Home Depot, they seem to have Linux running on Dells with IceWM as the windowmanager for X11. If only they wouldn't use the Dell systems (we hates these nasty Dell's, don't we, precious. Yes, we hates them, precious).

    Sorry. You are just a collection of molecules. "You are the way you are" implies that we were designed. When you finally accept that we are simply the result of billions of years of atoms creashing into one another, then you will be able to accept that we can tinker with ourselves to improve ourselves. Somehow we feel that manipulating ourselves is wrong. By whose standards? I am strongly for doing whatever it takes to be more intelligent, stronger, and without the annoying side effects of billions of years of evolution.

    My computer, in 1990, wrote Linux via an experimental AI routine that was somehow transferred over from some old VAX disks. The computer is now acting like a demon in front of the VAXorcist.....
