Given a head start and the ability to rewrite itself to become smarter (and rollback if necessary), after each success it will be able to make itself yet smarter. See Asimov's The Last Question.

Let's take this to the extremes. Say one of the potential hires is a very competent attorney who happens to be a neo-Nazi member of KKK and NAMBLA. Would it be legal to take his political views into consideration now?

The thing about Indie games is that you'll find developers taking risks that no publisher would let them. Often it doesn't pay out, but sometimes it does and you get a truly innovative game.
And now I'll go back to playing Titan Quest to tide me over till Diablo 3.
The findings in CODIS are truly staggering! While the odds of a false match are supposed to be only 1 in 113 BILLION, a search over only 65,000 records turned up 122 matches! About 1 in 533!!
Which just means that CODIS was really really lucky!
Seriously though, I wonder, could they just use more markers? I mean obviously non-twins would have different DNA, you just need a better comparison, right? And of course just adding the markers needed to check whether the person is black or white would not be enough.
And the race at the end, I didn't really see the point; it takes no effort to win, all he gets from winning is the dubious recognition of having won an elementary school race.
