I am sure there are many things out there we don't even know about that could wipe out all life on Earth. Who knows? Maybe even stuff we can not imagine.

Return of the Mac

I love my Mac but PC is the way to go for gaming. I can't stand console controls, low res TVs (compared to monitors) and don't want to pay more than my existing ISP bill for multiplayer games.
For hard core gaming Macs and consoles can't come close to PCs. But I honestly believe Macs are just as good or better for almost everything else.

A History of Icons

It's just hardware advancements. The screens in 85 were so low res the icons had to be small. Good interface design says a larger target (like an icon for example) is better and easier to hit. Todays monitors hold a lot more pixels. Hence Apple OS X icons have more resiolution which allows more realism.
I did not say that all parents were lazy and stupid but you know plenty are out there.
And yes, raising kids is never easy. But you thought of that before you had kids, right?
If the internet is so dangerous why not treat it like the highway or a sandbox full of knives and DONT LET YOUR CHILD PLAY IN IT? Or would you toss your child head-first because you figured you can filter out the cars/knives?
I like choice also. It seems like a lot of choices go bye bye when you become a parent. Not having kids is the best answer of all.
"THere's still something dangerous with the state deciding which material is objectionable, and which isn't, even if the blacklist is optional."
"This blacklist will be drawn up by the state's Attorney General."
There's something dangerous with the state's Attorney General deciding which material is objectionable. OMG is it just one person making these decisions?
Stupid lazy parent: "I can't supervise my own child on my own computer in my own house so I will request the ISP to block the nasties and anything that might be nasty."
"the only thing that's protected Apple users from exploits so far has been the small number of Macs on the net."
The only thing? What, the only thing besides the more secure default settings out of the box and authorization for every installation?
Of course it is nice (and easier?) to have an email app that allows you to bounce anything you want in your inbox. Apple Mail app users can do this. There are probably others I don't know of.
My iBook can play a long DVD and have power to spare. 3 hrs is typical minumum with heavy use like gaming. Of course like all batteries, they hold less of a charge with age.
I am so tired and bored by trek I am ashamed to admit there was a time I enjoyed it. I could care less about anything Trek since TNG, which was not too bad. But it still can not hold a candle to Babylon 5. It is past time to face the facts, Trek is tired and needs to die before it gets any worse. TOS is dated and silly. TNG is cliche and unrealistic. Everything after would require words to describe that do not belong in civil conversation.
There is a lot of SciFi available that is better than Trek. If you need a scifi fix there are shows with stupid muppets that do it better.
go ahead and format your hard drive.
all you have to do is reauthorize.
reauthorization is based on some unique hardware in your computer, maybe the ethernet address.
you wont lose any rights.
I've been circumventing the security since the iTunes music store came out. All you need is a CD burner. Burn your purchased music to audio CD then rip that CD back into itunes as MP3s without any security. This news changes nothing.

Why would you look up carebares when everybody knows it is carebears?

Will they call it Project Titan?

I know where the WASD keys are. What else do I need to know?

They are not a freaking gas station and I am sure their resources are very limited.
