Its not the royalties. I think the poster was getting at the current structure of how authors are funded by publishers. Usually a publisher will say "Hey thats a great idea" and they hand you a check to cover your expenses for X amount of months, so that you are free to write the book. Plus you work with an editor who will correct all of your errors:)
If that situation changes, it would force authors to fund their own work, which would mean working a regular job as well as writing. This is not an ideal situation for a writer or any artist. It actually hurts the chances of the book ever getting finished and it puts a hardship on the writer/artist that may effect the quality of the work.

I actually like iTunes. Its one of the few media library/player programs with a "remember last playback position" option. I use it a lot because I have a library of The Opie And Anthony Show and Ron and Fez's show, which are 3 to 4 hours each of radio each day.
Its nice to have the remember playback option, and ipods support it as well. Windows Media player doesnt have this option...
I find itunes to be pretty nice actually, despite its performance issues and closed format support. I'd rather it support ALL formats, including MKV and FLAC.. but hey... Its Apple, and as long as we continue to let them to get away with shit governments sue microsoft for.... I guess we'll just have to put up with it.
Google should just remove Apple and all Apple App related sites from its search index. Maybe that will teach Apple not to be such a bunch of whining pussies.

EVERY game that has come out on both platforms, is able to run, and look better on the 360 due to better GPU and the additional 10MB back buffer. The 360's OS has a smaller memory footprint, and provides better functionality with online gaming. It took sony forever to get features into their OS, it was already eating up a shitload of memory and providing less functionality than the 360. Its been a slow process for Sony. They're still not there yet. Their first party games beat the shit out of anything Microsoft has ever made on the 360 though. I own both consoles, and enjoy them both for different reasons.

Sony needs to stop worrying about how charge fans for their pathetic PSN. Its a terrible experience with little real functionality. It is beyond underdeveloped just like the PS3 OS and online features.

I love SONY First party games... I'm a huge Fumito Ueda fan. ICO is a legendary game. God of War, Shadow of the Colossus, Uncharted, Gran Turismo, Hot Shots Golf, MLB The Show, etc. Theres a lot of great first party Sony games... but seriously... SONY has been strugglign to play catch up ever since the PS3 launched and they're not there yet.

Itunes is good, and really apple owns the market. They're the only ones to have provided a nice seamless integration between device and software. If someone can beat that and be open to FLAC, MKV, etc... I'll leave my iPhone and iTunes. Unfortunately no one is competing seriously at all with itunes/ipod/iphone. Apple has built a very nice closed system of media delivery and usage. Where's the competition?
