i find that many women do better with the non-violent games that require some thinking, and in general are crafted with a good experience as the goal of developers, not just a fun time shooting. my female cousin who's 17 loves the sims, and one day i showed her doom and she couldnt get into it, but then we played lemmings for hours after that. and not that shes a non-violent girl she has quite a temper, but she doesn't like violent games that much. and one of my teachers now plays zoo tycoon on her laptop, other female teachers i've known have told me they loved the sims and simcity
i too believe education is key, and apathetic users stand in the way. think if all users knew about firewalls, viruses, and not opening random mail attachments, we'd mostly be fine. but too many users would rather let someone do everything for them, which i believe windows claims it will do but now is failing.
having never played either of these games could some1 tell me how good they are, wild metal sounds great and i love online multiplayer. can't wait to get home and download them. and how's gta compared to gta3 and vice city? i know the graphics aren't as good but what about the rest?
that was the console that was supposed to play all the current generation's systems' games wasn't it? and there was a bunch of legal controversy around it if i remember. i knew it would never make it
but depending on the difficulty level you play at and the how well-written the ai of the game is, you may need to use much of the same strategy in areas like play-calling in both a football video game and in the NFL.
i started watching tennis from playing virtua tennis, it taught me the rules, and i understand the strategy of football and basketball much better from playing madden and nba live, both sports ive played and i watch more now because i understand the game more. video games give a person a chance to learn the game alone at their own pace, a chance that physically playing the game or watching it on tv don't give. sportscenter is nice but it doesn't explain football formations at all, madden at least does a little explaining.

but i can rip to wma in media player, then use a lot of free or pirated software to convert to mp3, or i can simply use the weird file formats when i play the songs on my computer. i guess the only reason i'd need to change to mp3 is if i needed to put them into an mp3-player, which i dont have b/c they cost a lot(in my standards). of course avg user is too lazy to actually rip a file and then convert it, 1 too many steps.
and why would i want to pay for those things when i can do all of them for free with other software. btw that article was right, winamp3 sucked the llama's ass. it would crash when i tried to open it half the time, and then it was really slow on my good comp when it did open up. does vers5 have the same problems?
uhh...isn't the war on iraq supposed to be our first pre-emptive war b/c iraq didn't attack us, but they supposedly had weapons of mass destruction which they could use against us?
fyi he didnt say "free-market capitalism", just capitalism. under free-market the economy would probably drop in a couple months, because people on the whole are stupid, as evidenced by money in ultima being worth real money. without some gov't intervention we'd probably have depressions every 10-20 years because the average person can't see how their monetary transactions can affect the entire economy

cuz on linux, instead of playing computer games, people just play those ads where you punch gerbils and terrorists and weasels for entertainment!
