  2. It needs to be explained to them on paper... on Verizon Can't Do Math · · Score: 1

    in long math, like you'd do to show a child.

    .002 cents per KB.

    What is a cent?
    One hundredth of a dollar.
    1x0.01=0.01

    What is .002 of a cent?
    Two thousandths of one hundredth of one dollar, or one hundred thousandth of one dollar.
    1x0.01x0.002=0.00002

    Now what is .002 cents per KB x 35893KB?
    Two thousandths of one hundredth of one dollar multiplied by three thousand eight hundred ninety three equals seventy two hundredths of one dollar.
    1x0.01x0.002x35893=0.71786

  3. Re:One or the other on Livejournal Bans Ad-Blocking Software · · Score: 1

    But in this case you are agreeing to display these ad's in exchange for extra content on LJ. If you choose to block the ad's then you are being dishonest, as it wasn't like you wouldn't have know that you were getting something by having the ad's in the first place. There for they have every right to boot your sorry leaching ass, well not your ass per se, but the ass of who ever is not living up to their end of the bargain.

  4. Great spin, lousy accuracy. on Livejournal Bans Ad-Blocking Software · · Score: 1, Informative

    Free accounts don't have ad's but have less features. You have the option of having more features in exchange for having ad's, instead of paying for them. If a person just blocks the ad's they are basically stealing those extra features, so they should be booted. This story really should be edited to reflect the fact that free users can opt to not have ad's and that paid users do not have them either. The way it's written is really misleading.

  6. Re:Computers come without firewire? on Apple to 'Switch' to Windows? · · Score: 1

    Dude i was just in a Office Max which has to be the worst place to find a computer on earth. They were selling only 2 options for desktops, both Compaqs, and both had Firewire. The prices: $899 & $569, bundle packs no less.

  7. Another solution on Music Exec Fires Back At Apple CEO · · Score: 1

    Apple should just buy Warner Music, and fire that moron.

  8. What will Mac OS do! on Adobe Kills FrameMaker for Mac · · Score: 1

    Oh no not Frame Maker? What's next Streamline? Face the fact Frame Maker is outdated and barely used any more, so what if they kill it. While they're at it why not get rid of Atmosphere, Dimensions, Graphics Server, Streamline (it's last update was like when 1980?), and finally shit or get off the pot and kill PageMaker. The fact is that Adobes titles are mostly shit, what's good is the best, but the rest just sucks.

  9. A cloaked subscription drive. on PC Mag - Mac OS X Insecure · · Score: 1

    The only reason that this article was written was to drum up the online subscriptions. Seriously this guy cannot be that retarded and have the kind of job he has. First of all it isn't a real security hole, if you change the basic settings it is irrelevant. Secondly the supporting link he gives also reports 5 IE holes that need patches to fix. Come on OS X turns up one security issue vs. thousands of Widows ones, so what. He was only attempting to piss people off enough to flame him, and to do so they need to sign up to the site.
