.... We don't see higher mathematical dimensions like amphibians or fishes do and we don't have lateral lines like fishes do
Could someone please explain this to me? I've never heard of either concept before.
Gene Roddenbury already did that series (postdeath). Wasn't called Andromeda and didn't it suck?

That's why you go into Chapter 11, in order to get relief from creditors. Without looking at financials or court documents nearly all their secured and unsecured debt should be gone. Of course, so are the employees and alot of their assets to pay for this.
So must the spice!......
Spice mining is pretty inefficient too, when you factor in the number of men and equipment lost, the risk of uprisings by the natives, and other galactic-political pressures (CHOAM notwithstanding).
You might be surprised at just how many older business people have a very good grasp of older programs that required less GUI interface and more code writing - whether that be BASIC, COBOL, or anything through a command prompt (even DOS based). These people have no idea what to do in a Windows environment and all of the buttons just bother them. Most of them have poor eyesight (due to age), and seeing 15 buttons lined up that are too small to differentiate their purpose, with ambiguous graphics that change on every program (I'm referring to business apps, not things like the "open" button with a file folder) does not help them.
Basically I read two different ways around that:
1) Viruses are uber-creative in coming up with ways to replicate
2) Viruses basically "de-evolved" from more complex structures, and shed their abilities to self replicate.
Depends on what your business hours are. Maybe you have people across the nation (or the world) who need a power supply for their laptop ASAP. Or, maybe your controller is sitting in his office, trying to finish a financial filing at 10pm, and his desktop goes. If you say "Can't fix it, not during business hours", you're looking for a new job.
Too bad no business will buy from any of those companies.
You want a long warranty, customer support, shipping of replacement parts, all 24x7x365? Well that's what your boss and his boss want. If these places don't provide it you're SOL.
Unless you're a very small company (50 people) or you have some great sway at your office.
Nice list though.
Actually, I'd agree with him. The spam filters have gotten significantly better. Not that I use my AOL address much anymore, but it's no longer inundated with spam - more like a couple here and there if at all.
Not always true. Alot of businesses run W2k on their machines. At my work, 2k crashes alot as a result of the programs we are forced to run. I work as an IT auditor, and I see alot of different businesses. They run 2k because it's more stable, and most of the people running it on their machines at these places are clueless.
Too bad I just lost some mod points.....I didn't see that comment coming and it brought a much needed chuckle to my day.
Looks like I should start investing in MOS Technology 6502 processors.
I just pictured Kirk saying that Captain's Log, and I would gladly accept any Star Trek series that would do that.

How can that game not be on there?? I call shenanigans on this list.
You've never driven in Jersey on a normal day, have you?
That's a good link.

That's the best comment so far.

I think this is pretty insightful. Too bad I don't have mod points

What we know to be true:
Certs don't matter
What most people believe:
Certs do matter
If you just think that you're l33t and can get a job nowadays without certs, good luck. IS this right? Not at all. Is it reality? Yes.
