Yeah allofmp3.com is damn good, I do all my music stea^H^H^Hhopping there. Seeing as I've got a Mac (well, some Macs) and I'm your basic Apple fan boy, you'd think I'd use the iTunes store, but not at 128k AAC and $0.99 I won't.
Doesn't mention how much this will cost. I'm guessing from the text of the article that this is a pay-per-song service rather than a subscription model, but it doesn't explicitly say.
Interesting that it will support Linux, Windows and OS X - is this the only music service that can claim this kind of compatibility?
At my place of work you can smoke as much as you like, but you are expected to clock out while doing so. Even though they have to work extra minutes to make up the time (we are on flexitime) they still won't give up cigarettes!
A woman's brain is different, it can't grasp the complexities of a mechanical device such as a 'hinge'. They can't apply logic like 'if the seat is up, put it down'.
I have some drivers for a videologic sound card that do this, but the warning is displayed for a fraction of a second before being somehow automatically dismissed by the installer. Videologic stuck two fingers up at Microsoft I guess!
I work in the IT department of a local authority. We don't 'ban' Skype as such, but it is blocked at the firewall just like any other non-essential traffic. Out of several thousand users we have had two or three requests to use Skype, which we've complied with. If we had hundreds of requests we'd have to review the situation, since we obviously have limited bandwidth just like everyone else.
What's so bad about Ubuntu's (or Debian's) installer? I agree anaconda or yast are easy from a point-and-click perspective. I had no trouble understanding the installation process and I use a Mac most of the time. I don't get why half of every distro review I've read focusses on the installer when it's such a small part of the experience.
It is right for Ubuntu to focus on the quality of the desktop rather than to re-invent the wheel.
The new graphics sure are pretty and I love to see Linux deployed, but it's now not possible to enterpret the map.
The graphics move constantly, so by the time you've looked in the corner to see that the map is talking about mid-day on tuesday, the map has moved again. Also, the forecasts no longer include important information like isobars or wind speeds.
This seems like a semi-on-topic question. Why would I want to install Red Hat on my Mac? This isn't meant to be a troll, I like Linux, I use Debian Sarge and Ubuntu Hoary on retired x86 boxes at work. I just would love to know if anyone is running Linux on their Mac - what are you using it for? Why can't I use OS X to do it?

Can't connect to db!
I would've thought that anyone who's interested in darwin ports would not be too upset about grabbing it from CVS. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but where's the story?
Camino is what the Mac incarnation of Firefox should look like.
That said, I'm torn, I like my Mac but I need to use Windows and Linux at work, so I'm pleased to find a browser that behaves more or less the same on all of my computers.
We get series weeks and weeks after they first air in the US, and then only on sky TV. Downloading the shows from torrents is the only way you can see them while they're still a current topic of conversation. Also, the UK get gouged on DVD prices (just like everying else!), hey DVD makers, £1!=$1 damn you!
That's my third monocle this week, I simply must stop being so horrified.
the real world version of the Springfield Shopper.
They're tagged, but the one thing that irks me is that they use a ` in place of an '.

They're not as good as us, you know.

WMV plugin for QuickTime.
See also the call to refer to failure as "a deferred success". Spare me.
"Microsoft certainly have an excellent tool in their hands."
He he he he...
Ahem, sorry.
I have no fillings and what my dentist describes as excellent oral hygiene. I have never used floss.

"For those of you in the "let's run linux on a toaster!" contingent"
You called? Debian Sarge as a matter of fact.

You're going to slashdot this?

FFS, if I wanted to read nonsensical crap like this submission, I'd do some work!
