    Microsoft Internet Explorer is an Application.

    A TCP/IP Stack is not...

    Microsoft has the source code to Windows.

    Microsoft can REMOVE Internet Explorer by rewriting Windows.

    End of story.

    Someone needs to inform the DOJ of these simple facts.

    Someone should clue in these lawyers to how computers work.

    If I pile many functions including web browsing functions into the same binary.. that doesn't mean that I can't go in and rewrite it to remove that functionality.

    Software does whatever the programmers code it to do.

    Get a clue.. someone!

    If 3dfx had allowed Daryll Strauss to open source his drivers and had released their hardware specs openly, we would probably have stable working drivers for Voodoo, Voodoo2 and Banshee...

    I hope someone can convince Creative and the other hardware companies to release the specs to thier hardware... They make money selling hardware, not selling drivers...

    Why would they want your Mac Address?

    Do they configure the ADSL router so it will only work with YOUR machine (to keep people from putting in more than one machine?)

    What happens when you buy a new ethernet card or whatever?

    Would this allow them to track me closer than they currently could?

    If you delete logo.sys, you still get a logo. The default logo is built into io.sys.

    This site seems setup for newbies true enough, but do most newbies know how to compile source?

    I notice all the links are to the tar.gz's.

    No DEB's,RPM's or binary tgz's to be found.

    You would think a site for newbies would include these.
