  1. doesn't make sense on Warmer Oceans linked to Stronger Hurricanes · · Score: 2, Interesting

I don't have numbers to justify it, but what about everyone complaining about ice caps melting? It would seem to me that warm waters might explain this, but then wouldn't the melting ice cause the ocean to cool? I guess it depends on how much ice is melting and the range of warmer ocean water.

    I'd say stupidity.

Not full price if you already own UT2K3. Epic is giving a rebate to those who buy UT2004 and already own UT2K3. That means the game will actually be $20

  8. anything similar on The Golden Ratio · · Score: 2, Informative

If this is anything similar to the book "A history of Pi" by Petr Beckmann then I'm all over it. Petr Beckmann was able to put down some ideas and link them together in that book that I was very captivated by. It was technical enough to hold it's own, but he explained it well enough for most people to understand. At least explain it to the people who had enough interest and brain capacity to be interested in the subject and read the book.

  9. I love Apache on 2003: Year of Apache · · Score: 2, Informative

I love apache, but the one thing that bothers me is the two versions (1.3.x and 2.x). I originally started using the 2.x and found that a lot of people weren't using it. Then later to my dismay I found that wanting to adapt PHP would be troublesome so I had to switch to 1.3.x. It's okay either way because it was painless. And no trouble. So take that people who pay for bloated products that work just as well or less than the ever loved free Apache. All hail Apache.
