Answering widespread and long-time pleas for a family pricing option for Windows Vista, Microsoft today announced its Windows Vista Family Discount program, which allows Vista customers to inexpensively upgrade two other PCs in their home to the new OS. The program comes with a number of restrictions, however, and is limited only to Windows Vista Ultimate.
"While the Xbox 360 is off to a great start..."
This must be a definition of the phrase "great start" that I am not familiar with?
Did they mean 'great' by the fact that they have production and delievery issues?
'Great' with buggy systems and boat anchor power supply?
or 'great' with the fact that the released games look nearly the same as the old xbox games?
If a radioshow can capture a book better than hollywood, and BBC can capture a book better than hollywood, I am starting to wonder what is the point in seeing this movie at all.
Or at least paying to see it...vote with your currency, don't pay to see this crap.
...instead of just something difficult to translate to a movie.
Did the creators of this movie read the books, listen to the radioshows, or even watch the BBC TV versions? In all 3 the book was a character, it had it's own voice, it's own dialogue and was some of the funniest shit I have ever read, heard and seen.
Much like in LOTR, Peter Jackson nearly made the ring a character and the ring did not have much to say. The Book in HHGTTG has tons to say.
I think I understand Sentator Clinton... games should not be so realistic. In reality we could make a choice to hire a prostitute and then kill her... or any of the other sick and probably insane things you can do in GTA, but we don't. However we still have the option to do it, that's life. Of course there probably are consequenses, and even the game has consequenses, the cops will chase you. So kudos to the developers who let your character do whatever you want it to do, even if it is sick and twisted (and also fun at the same time.)
Besides she is also misinformed, the game does not "encourage" any of the activities, it simply allows them to happen. In the form factor, cookie cutter, linear world of games today it is awesome to see games that let you have free reign to be an insane homicidal maniac... if you choose to be.
No, I wouldn't suggest that, how about we replace the 'windows' key with the @. At least move it down on the keyboard to show how significant it has become.
Maybe I will remap my keys to the ways I like it, the whole qwerty thing is keeping us all down anyway. When do we en-masse give up the antiquated form of typing designed so typewriters won't jam and start using a method that is designed for speed typing.
Has anyone out there remapped their keyboards for speed?

Morse code gets @, but I still have to use the shift key to type an email address?
