It doesn't work most of the time,it crashes foxfire on gmail and yahoo for the automatic reporting add-on and i never see the blue frog working. I am just going to report like i did before at least i know that works.
On a side note i have over 250 messages waiting to be checked,by the time they do check them the web site is more then likely been removed. BF sounds like a good idea but its wayyyyyyyyyy to slow to do anything thats MO
I am a normal homeuser,I subscribed to Comcast. Why isn't there an email client that allows me to decide whats delivered to my box instead of having to use a black list? I don't do business with any other country then the US so how can i block emails from all the other country's?.
Thats where all the IPs are from in the spam i get. Why cant i have a choice of, this is spam, do i want to block this IP address not the email address sense 99% of spams email doesn't match the IP address.
That should be my choice and also to have to choice of not receiving the email at all not just putting it in a spam folder and calling it a spam blocking program, because its not. I still have to look through the spam folder so whats the point, it doesn't save me any more time.
If there was a good choice of something to use instead of a blacklist i would use it, but because none of theses ISPs don't want the end user to have that much control of there email sense they have partners they make money from allowing them to send spam....
>It sounds like Microsoft took the law into its own hands. They saw that the government couldn't/wouldn't do anything about him, so MS blasted him with lawsuits until he succumbed
No, It more like MS used the laws to there advantage. Which they can legally do and did
Number of spammers in jail, less then 10.
Number of drug dealers in jail, there full.
The problem is enforcement of the law we have, although a full opt-in law is still better then what we have now.
He published the exploit code, as far as i am conserned he acted like a criminal....fix the bugs or i publish them so hackers and other criminals can use the exploits. Nothing more then blackmail as far as i am conserned.
Him and others have caused alot of people money and lost data because of a brused ego.
>The problem is that the worst these people are setting themselves up outside of US jurisdiction, so that FTC and company just can't get to them.
This is incorrect the law has been written to close that loop hole, spammers residing in the U.S are not safe from prosecution because they use over seas servers
I agree, the problem is that they keep making laws that would affect just more then kids. If they really want to make a law to prevent kids from viewing porn sites then make a law that is for protecting kids only. Obviously they are trying to prevent more then just children from viewing it.
I for one will store picture files and it will also be good for all the graphic groups out there. Before we were limited to 1mb file size,send/recieve, now its 10 with yahoo so this is a good thing for graphic groups.
I look at it this way, the internet is not an entitlement. The abusers wither ISPs or consumers that abuse it should loose it, and should be policed internally. An ISP has no more right to abuse the Internet by allowing spammers to operate. If its found that they don't take action against spammers block there ISP from the rest of the Internet. thats MO:)
What you have learned from the real world experience Is what has been going on for ages. With my 40+ years work experience nothing has changed. A Young Grad feeling entitled to high wages without any kind of real work experience.
Like they say, respect is earned its not an entitlement, same goes for work and pay. And no matter where you work the faces are 95% of the time the only thing that is different.
Just how do you know he didn't hurt anyone? where are your facts? Did he do anything to deserve 3 years? Yes he sure did he broke the law. Whether you disagree with the law means nothing. Did he legally buy the domains, no he did not, he broke the law knowingly misspelling the domains to get kids there, he admitted it. So if anyone needs a taste of reality its you.

Its one thing to knowingly to go to a porn web site, its another being forced there without your permission, which this person went to jail for.
Thats because AOL provides the largest email box of any other ISP out there. A 200MB email box, who can beat that?? There upload size is large also. I have Comcast Cable and BYOA AOL for 7.95 per month without dial up. MSN gives what? 10 MB email box, Comcast 10MB box. If the other Dial up ISPs are going to try and compete with AOL they loose every time because of the email.
I was going to get rid of AOL, but i cant belong to any graphics groups because of Comcasts Email limitations. SO for an extra 7.95 per month its worth it for me and my Wife. If that makes me less of a person because i use AOL then so be it!!!

How hard would it be for hosting company's to scan that web sites for false bank names or ebay names or ISPs to scan for them and block them?
Clicked on the link useing IE6 SP2 and the popup was blocked with IEs new popup blocker.

Spammers maybe?? i would love for them to find a nice big list of spammers using his service so to speak.

What good will it do for them to go off-shore? That wont help them from being sued at all.
