    No, government-free energy implies more nuclear. Excessive government regulation of nuclear power has artificially increased the cost of nuclear power beyond reason. Nuclear power has a far lower cost of operation.

    This is the same type of thinking TFA discusses -- failure to focus on the long term picture. During the 10 years of payback for microgeneration, one less person is drawing from the general pool of resources. This provides more resources for further development of microgeneration. If the microgeneration plant continues to operate for 10 more years, or 10 more years, then it continues to pay back.

    Some systems continue to operate beyond their expected lifetime; and those incremental pay backs add up significantly over time frames of decades. This is exactly the point of the article.

I do not consider your choices wise. I will block your advertisements until such time as you learn to understand your market.

    I bought metal springs and wooden dowels with tubes at the hardware store. Some of those old radio boards the tubes had to be wedged in just right until the board warmed up enough to let the tube seat properly.

    Putting a beta OS on physical parititions? Many forms of virtualization exist which are far better suited to testing beta software. What kind of geek are you? I think your remediation should be installing 8 different distros of Linux in VMs to better acquaint yourself with virtualization.
