But the market isn't out there right now for this. Plus that would never happen because Transgaiming deals with cedega which takes directx information and converts it to opengl that way you can play it in Linux. They would never be asked to make binaries. But that isn't the point. The point is as long as companies are using technology like directx to make their games. They will not have an easy way to create native Linux binaries. But companies that embrace opengl like ID software does. Will never have the need or want to make native binaries.

Now think of this, this so called application could not even be written but it still is locked down by a patent. Now an developer comes along and thinks of a similar idea that fits under the same patten. He can not write the software at all. Under the current system he would be able to write the system as long as he does not use the same code. With the patten idea he could write this application totally different using his own ideas and still be violating patent infringement.

This troubled me when I took web mastery in college and saw every one writing their sites for IE and no one testing for standards. I confronted my teacher about it. Explained my case and he gave us 10% extra credit if we made all of our sites for the semester standards complaint.

Malformed java script and html can be known to automatically download things like adware via security holes. How is it a bad thing when other browsers refuses to read that code. Isn't that a good thing? A good example is a compiler most compilers catch overflows and don't allow you to finish compiling. From what I am reading her this is IE allows errors like this to keep on running. To me this is a very very bad thing.
