EEG's have gotten better over the years. The last one I got was 5 years ago. The first one I got was 1990. Your right I think there are less electrodes than before, although I never count I think there were more than 10 though. All I know is each time I go the experience gets better. BTW I have epilepsy that is why I have them. I probably have had 6 in my life.
Did it say it required gel or did not. I have had multiple EEG's and the gel is not fun. It is like gel with sand in it.
"This is the first headset that doesn't require a large net of electrodes, or a technician to calibrate or operate it and does require gel on the scalp," she said. "It also doesn't cost tens of thousands of dollars."
I just talked with some colleagues I was incorrect. The media is not the limit. What is the limit is the actual protocol.. So using copper vs fiber makes no different in some cases copper can be faster. However long distant solutions is another story.
The 15m limit would be a drawback for most data centers and DR sites where they use mid and long distant solutions for DR and Business continuity configurations. Like SRDF and SAN Copy. Again... This would be great for mid and low tier configurations creating the capability of implementing low cost sans configurations. I know SAN capabilities with fibre. My only experience with Ethernet configurations is low end iSCSI configurations, most of the current iSCSI configurations do not use fibre drives but they use SATA drives and I have not been impressed.
As we have seen with iSCSI the bandwidth capability over Ethernet just is not there. I with the EMC this will probably be great for the low end company that needs a mid tier and low tier environment. However large corporations with large database and high number of systems still need to stay with fibre frabrics. This probably will be only on the mid tier platforms like clariion.
You are correct. A preprocessing cluster needs to be used for parallelizations problems. However it can also be used for clustering database operations via fiber over a SAN (Storage Area Network) environment. This give the flexibility to add more nodes in a business environment to expand storage and preprocessing power. One example is a Oracle RAC cluster software with OCFS oracle cluster file system. With logical volume managers and a flexible storage array like an EMC Symetrix (High end) or a EMC Clariion ( Mid Tier) provides scalability to continually expanding the infrastructure to meet business needs.
I went from using debian for 3 years to gentoo this past winter.. I like portage. It is not as fast as apt but you get all your programs compiled specifically for your system. For me with an older laptop that makes life much easier.
Microsoft not supporting standards is in microsofts interest because it supports and keeps afloat their Front page market. They want people to use front page so they don't care about standards. I deal with making standards complaint sites day to day. The process of getting positioning right across browsers is the biggest pain every. I wish they would quit playing their greedy marketing game and give us developers a break.
Your rite, but the majority of credit and debit systems still use the magnetic system. Also, even if some systems use chip or pin they most likely will still have some sort of magnetic strip for backwards complacency for the next few years..
That is disturbing a person who is well informed finds my card and can just go up to any atm and empty my account with the plain text pin located on the card. If this is true, you are rite this is quite disturbing.
I don't see how I am stupid. I am about to graduate form college with a BIT I already have an ASSIT in Software development. I acquired a job doing LAMP web application development for my school. I did all of this with three learning disabilities. I do not see how a few spelling errors makes me stupid. You, sir are a fool, and I am done talking to you. Now go back and your hole and get on topic.
Reserched? Woking? Coust? Dollers? Please tell me you're still in middle school; even your home page is riddled with grammatical errors. Better yet, please apply for the same I.T. jobs I'm applying for, it'll make me look really good...
I'm, dyslexic sorry I was not able to proof my post before I posted.... Normally I am able to do that but I was in a rush. I am sure that I will be able to beat you in people skills, and friendliness because it seams you have none of those.
You can buy to scale high quality cockpit paneling at http://www.flightdecksolutions.com/ When I was reserching to build my cockpit. I found this to be the best solution for supplies.
I reserched for a year I wanted to build one. I even got the software woking with 6 computers. But after the evaluation of the cost of building the quality sim that I wanted I concluded that it would coust me about 10-15 thosand dollers.
They need to just take that 100 million and forget all the law suits and start over.

haha, that was a good operating system.. I work with the people who support it and I think they are supporting it and aviion systems tell the end of 2008. http://www-csc.dg.com/csc/aviion_customer_letter.pdf
One Laptop Per child has no moving parts. Sooo you don't have to wait for 10 years. http://laptop.org/en/laptop/hardware/specs.shtml
Looks like you beat me to the posting.. I saw this this morning in my email. We will see how many customer bite into it.
EMC just announced this this morning. They are going to start haveing soldi state drives in there DMX-4 storage arrays. "EMC plans to offer flash drives in 73 GB and 146 GB capacities for the Symmetrix DMX-4 platform beginning later in Q1 2008". http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/141323/emc_readies_solidstate_drives_to_replace_disk_storage.html
Nope... Well I don't post much however stories are normally more interesting than this.
How the heck is this news? This would be a question for a forum. Not the main page of slashdot.

I think the super computers are a thing of the past. Now days clusters are the way to go. Much cheaper and flexible.
These stats look like they are riped right out of Microsoft get the facts campaign. Completely tailored to make it look like Linux is not free.

Some one please mirror this file. Im sure this site will go down fast.
Here is the site that i found serching through the sun forms..
Get it while its up. lg3d.iso.torrent

This would be intresting to use for some open source point of sale systems... *Project ideas flying through head*
