    In "The-Up-To-Date Sorcerer", Isaac Asimov notes that his scientist-protagonist shows "a proper scorn for the niceties of classical philology" by mixing Greek and Latin roots in his terminology. Score another one for the good doctor.

    It's called subject-verb agreement. Singular subject agrees with singular verb, and plural subject agrees with plural verb. For example, "Cybercriminals have" is correct; as is "Cybercriminal has." I have; you have; he, she, or it has; we have, you have, they have. As another writer here pointed out, this is third grade grammar.

    Since the right lane has been hammered to shit by overweight log trucks, I drive in the left lane until someone approaches from the rear. Since I also drive 5-10 mph over the posted limit, I keep a sharp eye out.

    The F-35 is not the problem. There will always be people lining up to fly the newest, hottest fighter. The problem is finding pilots for slow, unarmed, propeller-driven cargo planes on the milk run into Kabul or Basra.

    It's no big secret. People who live there know about it. God alone knows why they live there. If you go to Avenal and look around, you can see 20+ really good reasons not to live there before you even think about Valley Fever.

    I too drive through there a couple of times a year. I do all of the above plus put the HVAC system on Recirculate rather than pulling outside air.
