We wrote a little app that runs on startup on our laptops. It basically does an IPConfig/all to a txt file, then parses that looking for our internal domain(s). If it doesn't find it, it sets up things one way. If it does find it, it sets them up another way. In our case, we used it to set the proxy and the speed/duplex on the network cards. But I'm sure you could use it to set different DNS servers.
Hope this helps,
TD
entitling you to pilot a multithousand ton piece of ambulatory steel at high speed. What were you driving? An aircraft carrier!?! Multi-thousand to... Oh you meant pounds. I get it.

Hmmmm, I have been running SBS2003 at home for a few years now with no problems, including Exchange. No MCSE here, although I'd love to be able to get one now that they aren't dumbed down. I'm not saying it's the perfect tool for the job, but it works fine for me.
I used to be in Tech Support for MindSpring, and remember the Netcom mail fiasco. This sounds like it could be worse. Glad I'm not there anymore.
No cost difference except for paying a tech support rep to patiently explain why they can't run the funky new Aero interface on their $400 computer with basic graphics. Although they may end up doing that anyways.

News in St. Louis today states that the Democratic Party sent out a mailing to a ton of voters in the city trying to help them get out and vote. Part of the mailing was the polling place for that voter to go to. Problem: Most of them were wrong. Damage control is in full force now asking them to ignore what they were sent and to go where the election board tells them to vote.
Will be interesting to see how this impacts elections in St. Louis which were not very smoothly run 4 years ago.
To boil down what sean23007 said, it's internet Communism. Due to human nature, it won't work, unless the system can't be changed to block sharing of resources. There will always be a few that will share, but many more that will leech.

So if this guy is only getting 33 MPG, that's not that great. Most of my driving is interstate to work, but stop and go for the last few miles crossing the Mississippi into St. Louis.
Funny, I was just telling my wife last night that my next car might be a hybrid since I'm driving mostly highway miles to and from work. Guess maybe that won't help me much.
I saw somewhere today on the Wild Wild Web, a story about a similar service over in Europe where you take a picture with your cell phone, send it to some place, and they tell you where you are, if you get lost. It then could give you directions to where you were going. I wish I could find the link. It was a quick blurb somewhere.
I have a phone services package with SBC that includes a few things I need, and a few things I don't. I called about getting just the things I needed, and dropping the stuff I don't.

Ummm...
"For example, if you upgrade a graphics driver today"
Emphasis is mine.

"That will be $10 more per month"
I'll stick with the package.
