If your gun isn't loaded, that's a long time you're defenseless as well. Just get used to charging the gun every now and then, same way we've gotten used to charging cell phones every day? Maybe it could come with a charger that fits in the night stand drawer.
That's like saying you were only in a presidential campaign if you won. A campaign is an attempt to do something, with more than just "I felt like trying" behind it.
This really is similar to the argument about autonomous cars. Will a smart gun result in fewer unintentional fatalities outweighed by the different fatalities it may cause?
You have NO IDEA how effective the finger scanner will be. How about we take a look at that first, see what kind of tech they actually put into it, and then make choices based on that? In much the same way you don't buy a car with known faulty brakes, just don't buy a gun with a scanner that is known to be unreliable.
So if you don't want to store it after watching, maybe... delete it?
I'm sorry, I just don't get why you would sacrifice one of the pros of pirating a movie (watching whenever you want, no matter what) for the pro of not having to hit the DEL and Enter keys once you're done watching it.
I'm sorry, but if you're going to pirate a given TV show or movie, why wouldn't you just, I dunno, download an offline copy that can be viewed whenever you feel like it? And how is this new technology going to work with re-encoded video and sound channels while ensuring there are no false positives?
There was a book recently published in Denmark about the squatter movement (BZ, pronounced as 'besæt', the Danish word for Possess or Take Over). The author tried to link to it on Facebook, but that got pulled off the site because it contained a few nude pictures. Danish newspaper article: http://politiken.dk/kultur/med...
Which does seem to be the difference between buying a car with a top speed of 150 mph and one with a top speed of 800 mph. You never really get to go faster than 150 mph just because your car CAN.
I think the problem is that the form-factor has changed, which means you need new EVERYTHING.
That is the problem energy-saving light bulbs faced until they had the brilliant idea of going with the old form factor from incandescent bulbs: No existing lamps or lampshades would fit the new bulbs, so no one BOUGHT the new bulbs.
If buying a new computer also means buying a new cell phone, mouse, keyboard, speakers, digital camera, printer, scanner, etc. then people probably aren't going to be lining up to buy that new computer.
After all the 'le' memes half a decade ago, maybe not such a bad name after all. I have to admit that 'Le Ecosystem' sounds kinda good, though unwieldy to talk about.
Pronouncing it also brings up thoughts of Lego (maybe because I'm Danish) which is known for how everything just fits together - again, not a bad association.
It is also possible they tried to avoid having a thousand fraudulent claims, inspired by seeing the video, filed against Samsung that would make it more difficult, and by extension take longer, to find out what the actual problem with the phones was.
For some reason this reminded me of a comment I once saw on WoW's forums about Mists of Pandaria's leveling experience that stuck with me ever since:
"It was just me, traveling the continent, solving people's problems."
That is what RPGs used to be about, what we played for decades. Perhaps it should be considered the difference between reading a good book over a weekend and going to the premiere of the latest... let's say Star Wars movie. Both things are good - for their own kind of audience.
The thing is that there have been multiple articles on Slashdot over the years showing a systematic pattern of fraud, cheating, plagiarism etc. in Chinese research done to bolster the appearance that China was developing far faster than they actually were. There have also been articles revealing metaphorical circle-jerk problems with paper A citing paper B citing paper C citing paper A, with the researchers all being good friends of each other.
If each car stuck in traffic has one person in it, and Uber can cram just two people into each car, there would - theoretically - be half as many cars on the road at that given point in time, which would likely help to seriously reduce traffic congestion.
Seen from Europe, tips are this quaint little way of lording over the working class that you have more money and power than them, and here are your alms.

A settlement.
That's legalese for taking a bribe to go away, right?
But was your time anywhere close to this, or was it like high school kids doing the hundred meter dash in about 20 seconds?

Now, this is just a guess so there is a chance that I am wrong, but hear me out.
Here goes.
The point of this pastime, according to my own thoughts and beliefs, is ... ...
To have fun.
I know, MIND BLOWN. But how is this more pointless than, say, building model aircraft or watching NASCAR?

If you don't want to get sprayed, don't try to rape women!
And yet pepper sprays are illegal in Denmark.
And WILL be if the links contain nudity.

Please show just one link to a high profile story of Facebook banning something it shouldn't on grounds other than nudity.
Meanwhile there is this story, there's the Vietnam story, there's the Little Mermaid Statue story ...

Well, I guess it's Spartan, at least.

Oh, so it isn't just because English is not my native language that I think of cybernetics purely in the context of cyborgs, androids and the like?

Yeah, Hitler really hated all those cell phones recording his speeches prior to starting World War II.
Because they thought that in 2016 it was common sense to not click random unsolicited links.
Wait, they crush the free spirits of their citizens into servitude towards industry ... by demanding industry change a misleading name of a feature?
What?
Well, if the military just left everything behind, you probably left Greenland with a few nukes.
Just sayin'.

Please do a bit of quick math.
