the movies sucked because:
the acting sucked (I think I should point the finger at the director here. it's HIS job to make sure the actors performed well. he should be WATCHING the actors..instead of saying "can I comp this scene? was the lighting right? OK! next shot!)
the script sucked
and I don't mean the plot.
if you strip this movie down to a plot synopsis..the story ain't half bad. it's the dialogue..the cheesy, overdramatic bullshit he tries to pass as a romance story..the overdone musical score.
jar jar binks has nothing to do with the suckage of either movie. sure, I wince in pain when he pops up..but with all of about 5 lines in movie 2..he wasn't around long enough to ruin it.
add to this the fact that you get TOO MUCH INFORMATION about everything. midichlorians? who cares! immaculate conception? DON'T FLATTER YOURSELF.
wars between trade federations? what about just "the evil emperor with tons of drone soldiers" vs "a handfull of rebels fighting the evil emperor"

it's the same thing that made the last 2 matrix movies suck. the story was great when it was a handfull of rebels fighting insurmountable odds....but when it's a friggin' society that has raves and orgies when the men come home? no thanks..I've lost interest.
so to sum this rant up. the movies suck because cinematically, they were bad movies. bad writing, bad directing, overly contrived plots, too much detail on things we don't care about, etc.
but if you like 'em...hey..more power to you.
hey..just wanted to let you know I personally have had great experience with my canons. they seem to use a tiny bit of ink, have individual ink cartridges for each color (mine has 8 tanks! and you can even remove the print head and swab it.
pretty cool after my experience with epson and their incredibly expensive...buy 'em by the dozen color combo cartridges.

I once had a boss fire up an attachment "because it was from a friend"
I believe it was IloveYou. it erased all images on our webserver...because the fucktard insisted I link his system directly to the web server directory as a samba share..he wanted access to change any file at any time on a whim.
but..he told me to set it up that way,and wouldn't take no for an answer, so he got to pay me to clean up after his mess. thank god for automated backups.
he DID lose a day's productivity, as I had to shut down the entire network, thus shutting down the entire office.
I think if SCO wants to point the finger, they should point the finger at microsoft.

I put out a few old monitors, a few GUTTED 486 systems, and a ton of cables. they were all picked up by a metal salvage guy within a few hours.
apparently there's a fair amount of gold and copper in them thar boards if you know where to look.
the guy was going to essentially strip them down to scrap and sell the metals.
doesn't exactly deal with some of the other issues (all those parts he DOESN'T salvage...
but at least the guilt is off my back.

they just now figured out how to get things to boot. that's why they didn't do it until now.
