Anybody with a minor background in electrical engineering could tell you that the above equipment isn't about to get along well together. I hope they don't kill themselves.
Apaprently, the next Venus transit after this one will be in 2012, but the next two after that won't be until 2117 and 2125. Looks like a once in a lifetime deal. (source: http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/transit/venu s0412.html)

So how can the search results be better than Google's?
Yes, you are correct --- but read what he said carefully. It is different from what you said. What he said implies that the screen effectively updates at 30 Hz --- not 60 Hz.
Bullshit. Updating the even scan lines at 30 hz and then updating the odd scan lines at 30 hz (staggered) means that the whole screen is updating at 30 hz.
Believe it or not, this type of anti-counterfeiting technology has actually been used by another company before: Nintendo, Inc. Gamers may remember that the Nintendo 64 hardware was primarily designed by Siligon Graphics, Inc. What they may not know is that the 64-bit "Reality" graphics co-processor actually disallowed the display of certain graphical patterns. Apparently, unlicensed developers had gotten their hands on N64 SDKs; Nintendo somehow acquired the beta versions of their projects and incorporated this technology to thwart the unlicensed developers! Nintendo has always come down hard on those who would abuse their IP...
Bottom line, such pattern-recognition technology is not new.
Tell us the sizes of his orifices, then we'll talk. JUST KIDDING!
It's between violent pornography and rape... not pornography and violent rape.
Use VMWare, and do all of your important stuff on a virtual machine. Back up the machine-state file regularly.
