Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't.NET based on W3C standard WSDL services and SOAP? Wouldn't that just make it and C# just another development tool for creating and using Web Services? If so, i'd assume that the reason it would excel would be because of it's ease of development using Microsoft tools. Of course, I don't know too much about.NET to be honest.
ah, sorry guy, i just haven't been reading slashdot lately, but when i do, it seems the only thing worth reading are the troll posts in the comments section, and they're too long and my attention span dwindles, so i just compulsivly check my web-based email instead
In college dorms, where piracy is prolific, students have absoultely no problem downloading 350mb on a t1-t3. Theres alot of college students out there... they/i don't see 350mb as much of a problem to be honest
i'm assuming that it means "on the other hand". but what the fuck do i know? it could mean "ouch the ocelot hurts" or something dumb like that. fucking ocelot bastards...
No one really wants kids to easily see hard core porn, do they?
What exactly is so wrong with "hardcore porn"? It's just two people having sex. Is it the nudity? The strong "sexual content"? Why do children have to be raised in an environment that teaches that what people do normally is bad? Is a penis (philisophically sorta) that much different of a body part than someone's arm? Why censor it? People always talk about this fucking "internet revolution", but all it is is the same bullshit, presented in a new form of technology. It would be funny to have the people that cry for more censorship suddently start kicking and screaming when they lose some of their privacy. Or maybe I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.
The other thing is that the decline of U.S. culture is not surprising since we've placed such ridiculous restrictions on immigration. The U.S. has always 'imported its brains', of which it had been proud because it meant that smart people wanted to live here; of course, it has said very little for education here.
I don't think it's so much a matter of "brainpower" as it is work ethic. And who are you to say that education here is any worse than somewhere else? I'm not flaming you, I just want to know, have you been educated in a number of countries?
Serverside java man. It works really good, it rules. Yeah, client side sucks, sorta. You *can* build a client side app (not a fucking applet) that runs fairly good once it gets started. I've heard stories of performance increases on the client side now with JDK 1.3. Applets, however, do suck if you don't do them right, but if you do them right, they won't "make your browser crash".
you shouldn't kill off your potential customers with such dangerous foods.
haha
at $200us windows shouldnt crash
at $20,000+ the average car shouldn't break either...
how much did you pay to read the site? nothing? then get the fuck over it. jackass.

nevermind. i shouldn't post replies to trolls.

dude, where is this slow adaptation again? maybe on the client side...
can't answer any of your questions, but thats one cool ass subject.

ozzfest rules. no other information is necessary.
