Unisys does not require licensing, or fees to be paid, for non-commercial, non-profit GIF-based applications, including those for use on the on-line services. Concerning developers of software for the Internet network, the same principle applies. Unisys will not pursue previous inadvertent infringement by developers producing versions of software products for the Internet prior to 1995. The company does not require licensing, or fees to be paid for non-commercial, non-profit offerings on the Internet, including "Freeware".
But he said the error would only go undetected if it occurred in the 512th byte of the 512 bytes that are recorded at one time, not in any of the other 511 bytes. Also, he said, it appeared to occur only when the computer was heavily loaded, such as when it was playing a video while also writing to the floppy disk. They can sue Toshiba for that? Speaking of defective products.. 5 minutes later... sorry for that, I just BSOD'ed and had to reboot.
I agree with the idea of trademarking domain names for some odd reason. I hope this generates plenty of reasons for me to go against it, but, you can't name a new product with a trademarked name, why should you it be any different with domain names? I don't like being misled.
well for you windows people it doesn't matter cuz you don't use it much. i dont' recall the keyboard becoming obsolete as of windows 95. in fact, i'm using it right now... gee, guess that totally rules out your response. i enjoy typing on a console as much as the next wannabe-nerd(referring to myself) but sometimes it's just easier to point and click.
logitech kicks MS ass in terms of pointing device i disagree with you on the terms that logitech's rolling ball thing in the middle is choppier, adn that it doesn't fit my hand as good. it *is* just a matter of taste though. i posted because i was reading all these anti-microsft things, and they make good hardware.
i apologize for the offtopic nature of this response, but what exactly is technocrat.net? is it purposely modeled exactly after the format of slashdot?
Microsoft came out with a light-operated mouse similar to the one on Sun's SPARC and called it their own. Everyone sure noone has come up with this before?
I have to say they're mice rule. I love their intellimouse, it gently fits the curvature of my hand. And that other mouse that takes a bunch of pictures is fairly cool too.
This mouse will definatly revolutionize the porn industry. And the hell with those "Microsoft Suxs" people, they make good hardware.
yeah, good point. this should be moderated down.

I agree. Lets see some examples of unisys enforcing this patent, then I'll get rid of my semi-transparent pornography.
sorry.

they'll be too distracted by the porn on my monitor to check out the serial number
Imagine if they'd develop intelligence and start devouring people
i could take on any tree, anytime. bring it on, piney bastards.
Not to mention the hassle of dealing with Winwhatever or GeekOS-es like Linux.
(hangs head in shame)
sorry for my ignorance
regardless of what it looks like, it's a computer. who really cares what the fuck their computer "looks" like? (aside from people who do, that is)
