  1. Re:On a serious note, .... on Human Species May Split In Two · · Score: 1

There are assumptions you are making that are not true. 1. Smart does not equal Wealthy 2. Statistically there is a rise in "smart" people's offspring. Speaking on behalf of smart people in "modern" America, I see very few really intelligent people anywhere. Whether they're rich or poor makes no difference. If a split were to occur, it would be between the truly intelligent and the vastly moronic and would only involve socio-economic disparity coincidentally.

Even 2-year-non-accredited colleges/universities/trade schools have their merits. For people with existing degrees from prestigious (or not-so-prestigious) 4-year institutions who do not like their current jobs and are looking for a career change, this type of education would be helpful. Not to say that they wouldn't be welcome back to their alma maters to pursue another degree, but often times, there are more undergraduate prerequisite classes to take. Considering the cost is comparable, and one would already have a full BA, BS, or even MA from a 4-year school, it could be an excellent opportunity for our pursuits of happiness.

I'm just wondering if you've led a perfect life and never misjudged someone or maybe made a mistake. And a quick question for you, is it "taking responsibility" if you're working your ass off to make sure you're children are fed? clothed? have school supplies? loved? Or does none of that matter if your a single parent? What about people that are married and still have problems making ends meet because of Bush's fantastic economic policies? I'm always interested in the conservative's ideas for bettering life for all, well, all of the people that are already rich anyway. As for me, I'm going to take my college degree, my middle-class income, and my three illegitimate children for movies and ice-cream, after I read Time and Forbes, of course.

I agree with this guy. The doctor keeps telling me I"m ADHD and need medication. I keep telling him I like my "einstein complex". If I have to move faster than the average human to keep myself interested, then I just have to move faster. It's why i'm good at my job and it's also why I love working with computers. THEY'RE FAST!!
The downside is I get alot of speeding tickets.
But keeping with what mwa says... if it works for you.. then do it. IF it doesn't.. try something else. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to try to find my kitchen so I can make the kids a.... a... uh... umm.. snack.
