The general practice in American capitalism is to be ever increasing income. Big biz is so good at this that they even buy (effectively) public offices to gain political favor on legislation designed to add another edge in their biz model. As we all know, this ultimately results in a widening rift between the rich and the poor. The rich keep getting richer (and thus can afford the ever increasing costs) while the poor get poorer (generally, and can afford fewer and fewer things). By allowing the 'net carriers to be free to do what they want, like charge per bandwidth, and allow each other monopolies (read: collusion) in 'their' areas of coverage, the rift will also widen for users here. The internet, like our nations roadways system and our military, has become a critical infrastructure need for our society. And, as such, may require fair government management. We just need a government agency that knows what they are doing!
The who system - the way we approach life - needs to be seriously and deeply retrospectively reviewed. If pot smoking were accepted, then pot smokers will not care if you see them smoking. Remove narcissism and half the problem is solved.

Wouldn't it seem to be a far better cure to CURE SOCIETAL IDIOCY so as to reduce the need to do terrorism in the first place? Things like resolving religious myths via educating all peoples as to the scientific proofs (like the evidence that the world is NOT flat!). Things like the ancient religions instituted 'rules' geared toward the times; where the publics' immature mind set couldn't handle certain truths, and the leadership did not know any better. Even today's leaders base platforms on purely political motives rather than actual true needs of the peoples based on true SCIENTIFIC revelation. Although, I do see evidence that some people need serious help. Take Trump and his supporters. What the hell are they thinking? Could they be cured through actual EDUCATION? Do you really want things done the Trump way? A way that breeds terrorism?!

I can sympathize with a grieving parent (foster or biological), yet I'd much rather that Apple donated to a charity that helps families going thru loosing members (perhaps even reminding parents of getting matters in order - like getting photos off of devices) than helping to invade privacies.
Why would any competent computer weenei (I mean that in a good context) put Linux/Unix on TOP of Windows? Is it so that you can add the MS vulnerabilities to Linux/Unix?! It makes no sense. Linux/Unix may not be as 3rd party supported (yet) as Windows, yet it is far superior in performance and available security. And, this is evidenced by the fact that MS is push towards Linux now. Ummm. DUH!
