    Ehrm... Sorry. I was answering with regards to linux. And if that wasnt a flame of my knowledge, then I dont know what. What the hell is this, I write something that ISNT a flame, just pointing out limitations (see at the top of posts of this article) and it got marked a flame. Another time, I told pi-boy to shut the hell up and got modded for trolling when he posted something that was totally offtopic and irritating. Im doing it now, but where else am I supposed to do it.


    If this is slashdot, then I am going elsewhere.

    Download the sources, compile, etc... Try checking out [kernel.org] There _may_ be something on there, cant remember.

    Knoppix is a good concept, but not executed all that well. I have tried it on around 20 pcs and it only worked on one. The others froze until reboot. And they werent all that old......

    Personally, I LOVE SLACKWARE!!! YAY!!!

    Man, since picking up an optical, I have never looked back. They rock! (Especially considering towards the end of my ball mouse, it couldnt even turn 90 degrees without difficulty...)

    People will always be isolated for some reason or other. Generally for being different in some way. I am a thinker, for that, IRL I am generally shunned by most peers my age. Instead, I associate with people above or below my age seeknig that state of eternal bliss known as companionship...

    So long as you don't modify MySQL, I BELIEVE you should be fine. Try checking the licence on MySQLs Website

    I think ipv4 is outdated, yes. But it is easy, unlike ipv6, quite stable and extremly workable...

    I once used access. Even tried to make a VB front end. Couldnt get the damn thing to work. So I stopped using dbs for a time. Then someone showed me the pure beauty of MySQL and PHP (Thanks Andrew!!!!!!!!!) and since, I have never looked back. I tried Postgre, and didnt like it. Feature overkill...

    Meh.

    MySQL -> More stable than Access More accessible than Access (Think TCP\IP interface) More extensible than access


    And it's open source! (Although, if you modify the source, any apps you create that interface with it become open source too...)

    Access == Microsoft
    :therefore Access != Cheap
    :ALSO therefore Access != Stable
