Growing up, my school system always had Apple computers. I remember hearing that that was the case in most school district, thanks to a subsidy program offered by Apple.
For 15 years, that didn't seem to win Apple much market share, but it seems to have experienced a boom now that my generation (late 20s) has gone off to college and gained disposable income.
Unfortunately for Apple, that growth hasn't expanded as quickly into businesses (has it?). However, the program seems as healthy as ever. With the next generation (as in 20 year periods) starting off on Macs, is it possible that Apple's long term strategy will pay off on the next level once I'm sending my kids off to college?
The web, since going mainstream, has never been as open as article suggests. There have always been the few who could access the source and understand it, just as now there are those who can some Flash and manipulate.
I suppose that knowledge barrier was once more easily overcome, but increasing complexity is the nature of society.
The web is just the transfer of information from many to many.
Given the international distribution of their product, what steps would Microsoft need to take to avoid this?
I mean, what if they break Windows 7 into Windows 7 US and Windows 7 Global? Would the government have any argument for jurisdiction over the non-US product?
A step further, what if Microsoft simply announced that Windows 7 was being exclusively created for the international community?
Wait - so we can potentially make small black holes? Is somebody doing this in a lab? Can we do this with any mass? Can we turn an asteroid into a black hole just to research it? What astronaut wouldn't risk his life to be the first into and out of a small black hole?

What else matters?
Will a clever exploit be able to shut down your car on the freeway? Or open your air bags?

No, Will Rogers be dead. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Will_Rogers
Yes, but will it run Vista?
And as anyone who's been on the 405 near Beverly Hills knows, the freeway might as well already be shut down.
My first ever post is a first post. Good use of chutzpah.
Now don't I feel foolish for moving from Cleveland to LA. I should've known Cleveland was the place to be.
