Luckily they don't have a patent on the technology so we don't have to worry about that yet.
There are tag suppliers and tag programming software out there already. MS will just steal it and claim that their new version had the same features in development. Ha!
Have you heard of the location based cellular services? Soon restaurants will be able to page you, saying come to our place and don't wait in line, etc.
A number of vendors are going to be rolling this out (no pun intended) as previously mentioned on/.. It would work really well to display prices and have a wi-fi adaptable update so that they can change prices system wide without lifting a finger.
Think of the money they could save in labor.

In Tablet PCs they have this neat mercury switch that allows you to tilt the tablet right to flip forward or left to flip backward. I'm sure that they'd implement this into the new books eventually.
Maybe I just missed the point when I used Linux. I didn't pick it up. I'd rather use MS-DOS 6.22 than Linux. Mind you, I liked DOS very much and I didn't want to migrate to Windows at all when 95 came out.
What makes it so vital to you/. readers?

I didn't read all of the threads so I apologize in advance if someone already mentioned this.
Look into WVoIP. It uses very similar technology as the VoIP systems but you can use wireless headsets. Search Google News for WVoIP. I think that this technology could be useful, considering your current WAN in the school. It uses the same network. Typically on a large scale though it is on it's own network so that the traffic doesn't kill the servers.

What they're talking about it unearned, they mean contracted or obligated but unpaid. Like if you buy something on a lease and don't have to pay for 90 days or better yet sign a contract but you don't take deliverables until 5 months into the contract.
Simple GAAP rules.

PS. Sorry 'bout being off topic.
Considering international copyright laws, it seems like they'll have a lot of trouble with their software being in smaller countries. *I see a mass exodus of pirates to malasia*
Maybe they'll look to the UN to defend their copyright laws and that's they're motive.
I could see a volume of 1B dollars being reduced to maybe 10M dollars not 1M dollars though.
Cheers,

Shoot! I meant to hit the AC button. There goes my karma...
Oh I'm going to cry. BOOHOO!
Linux still sucks!!
PS. It's time to move out of your mom's basement.
This is a very good point. If 3 Mbps barely works for me what is going to happen when all that other shit is on it?
Sounds like we'd need a 10Gb line, unless he means that each house would have a dedicated 100Mbps.... That might be interesting.
Bit Torrents might actually work...
1.) Implement buzz words
2.) Royally screw everything up
3.) ?????
5.) Profit
Works for me.
Thanks for the advice. I'm calling now. Everyone /. AT&T via the phone. Call 800.888.7600!!
What's wrong with that? We need a few dumb people around so that we can take advantage of them.
Does anyone know what kind of wireless APs they're going to be using? It will probably be a MAC address related fixed/mobile wireless service. -Scott

The singing was a bit odd. I thought the ending was good though.
You are absolutely correct. I'm glad that they shot it all at once. Too bad about Matrix.
