I think coreaudio, corevideo, and especially the new xcode warrants a new release. Besides they're supposedly a hefty speed boost.
Similarly, now that I look at it, win95 to win98 didn't seem like a huge difference in terms of what was offered. I'm probably wrong, but the only things I recall was stability and performance (the performance is sure there from 10.3 to 10.4.. stability was always there). Maybe easier networking? who knows?
Sure, there are PCs around that price for more, but in what form factor?
I'm sure a fairly big selling point for that thing is the size.
If someone just wants one for their coffee table or something, just to check e-mail or whatnot, it'd be a pretty good product, and it wouldn't take that much room.
but I believe the sexiness for the techies is that the iPod does one thing, and it does it very well.
oh yea, I totally agree with you. Forgot to mention parts for the techies.. what was I thinking?
I own an ipod, it does exactly what I want it to do.
Majority of the people that buy ipods aren't technically inclined. They see it as a status symbol. So, until the fad moves to a new and 'cute' product, the ipod's to stay.
Besides, the ipod is so shiny:)
Same here, I got into D&D through the game planescape: torment.
It was hard for me to find people to play D&D with.. But at the end, i did find people, so it was ok.
Nevertheless, I don't often hear of that many people playing D&D (around my age group at least, which is 20)

yea, but a lot of other companies also stretch their 'features'. You kind of get used to it.
yea it's a joke... and I like it! w00t
repair permissions seems to be the generic answer

A month after my girlfriend gets hers.. darn.
crazy google.
I mean, without some third-party software. hmm.. don't know how entourage (or outlook) would work with labels though.

probably only considering general consumers
It'd be out of juice before long, though
