How did you come to the conclusion that EQ is the most popular North American MMO? World of Warcraft is. And I don't mean to start a EQ vs WoW war here, it's just a fact : 600 000 just for the holiday season. Add to that 200 000 boxes that were bought prior to the holidays.
EQ2 only has 310 000 players, and EQ Live never reached 500 000 according to this site. Yes, the site lists only 200 000 customers but hasn't been updated since late november.
A quick WHOIS gives us the adress of the registrant for the Exeem.com domain:
Swarm Systems Inc.
Goggle couldn't find anything interresting about it. Might be some kind of a screening company?
And the US helped *the Europe* (not just the France, mind you) out of pure generosity? It's been said that they refused to engage the Nazi before Pearl Harbor, which is true, but the fact that they were among the only country to have had their lands uninvaded allowed them to become the strongest economy in the world at that time - with the Marshall's Plan.
And more important, if the US didn't come to Europe, Nazi would have come to them later on. Not to mention, what would they have looked like if they just watched the whole planet burn without doing anything?
So thank you for helping us, but don't try to sell me the bullshit that it was a sacrifice you were not compelled to do anyway.
An iPod in france is called an iPod. A PC is called a PC, as is a CPU or a HDD. I'd love to see what arguments prove that "the French like to fight against their language being destroyed" because I can see none - none more important than any other culture, for that matter.
In the order hand, when you see how many french words are commonly used in english, you wouldn't think we'd have to fight for the survival of our language:) Oh, and next time you watch a transmission from the ONU, check all the signs that are written both in french and english:)
Hi,
As a french, I'm shocked by the fact that every single time the word "french" is pronounced, people start insulting. It's easy to go this way, too easy even, and nobody, I mean nobody, should believe his country is better than the others.
But I can go this way too:) If the french people and the france are so bad, why is it that we never see *french* flags being burnt all over the world, but *us* ? I guess it's easy to hate too when you are the most hatred people in the world.
So maybe it's better to center the debate on the real issue, and not geopolitical analysers wanabees.

French satellites are better than US'. In Afghanistan, US Army used the French satellites for recon. So shut up and be original for once.
Yeah, that was in Cryptonomicron part. II :) They spy on their boss whom is writting some journal about his wife and their sexual life :)
