I've got a lot to complain about with Finder, (like how it barfs when you select a corrupt mpeg - hey, I'm just selecting the damn thing, maybe I want to delete it?)
it'll only choke if you're in column-view and the finder tries to get the preview.
change to icon- or listview and you'll be able to select your file without waiting - corrupted or not.
i'll admit that the Finder could handle this in column-view better, but...
I know you were joking, but I live in the german countryside - bavaria to be exact, and it's totally common to have the "Bierwagen" show up in the morning and deliver beer.
There are a lot of small breweries which depend on the local consumers, and they treat them nice...
you could do that with javascript. just include an onClick XMLHttpRequest script which sends the coordinates of the cursor when the user clicks on a result. Since the google page looks pretty similar on every browser, the y-coordinate should (could) tell you on which result the user clicked...
pretty hackish - but without any redirect and/or visible to the user.
thanks for explaining that - since it was me who discovered this hole it really annoys me to see that the majority of the people talking about it have no idea what it did / could do.
I used XMLHttpRequest to build a Remote screenshot generator which you can use to see your site on Safari, MacIE or Mozilla.
It's the best thing to use when you don't want the user to hop through pages of forms/error-reporting/status etc.
With this you get an interactive interface without having to use Flash or similar crap.
We'll see a lot of this in the future for sure, it's just so convenient to built sites with it - and as a user it's really nice to have (near)instant feedback without having to reload.
I went to NYC several times - not only to shop but to enjoy this wonderful city.
But I'll never go there again, given that they'll take a picture of me and take my fingerprints now.
I've avoided to get into trouble and have my fingerprints taken all my life, why on earth should i have to give them just for hopping over a puddle of salty water?
The layout apple as chosen for german keyboards is just sick, esp. if you are trying to write code (i have to press three keys to get a backslash? give me a break...).
that's exactly why i use an american keyboard...
you can get a very cheap one on eBay or similar. (i got mine from apple for free - after i called and told them that i'm lost with the german keyboard which came with my G5 (they are/were VERY nice and it arrived the next day))
you'll lose the ü ö ä etc. but that's just a minor thing since you can easily use alt-u, then the char you need with an umlaut.
or - if your fingers are used to an american keyboard layout, you can just change the language in the preferences and you have the american (or whatever keyboard-layout you want) right there, (you'll have to wait some more time until they figure out how to change the graphics on the keys of your keyboard dynamically)
the netstat stats - see the server scream
returns the position of the needle in the haystack, therefore above example would return 0 (null).
therefore you have to use !== (notice the two equal signs) to check if it's true or false.
see ?CSS:

this will do it, hope that helps...

it looks very nice, but it's windows only.
any plans to port this to other operatig systems ?
and of course very, very alpha...
but at least it won't crash safari - and the column view is the best display for directory-structures anyway.

(actually i think it works only in Safari so far)
a lenghty but nice story of that time and place...

take the battery out if you don't use it then, your 30 days will become 45 if you stop the clock every night for example...

don't worry - it's just a lame attempt to get http://www.getfirefox.net/ in the google listing when you search for "security flaw" or similar.
see the article here for more information - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_bomb

at least the EURO notes all have a beveled sign on them so you can feel the value.

why don't you just set up a pop3 account in Mail.app for your gmail address?
