You forget the point though that not just Bush, but the people he surrounds himself with, had themselves so convinced that Iraq was involved in 9/11 and were planning a large scale attack against the US (oh, and all that black gold stuff too) that they sold the Iraq resolution to the House and Congress as a dire threat under false pretenses.
No doubt there are plenty to blame for not using their checks and balances as they should have, but to think the current administration has nothing to do with the quagmire(s) we're in now is just as clueless.
I came to this posting this morning ready to be pissed off, because Obama's tech stance is one of the first reasons I started supporting him. But I agree, after actually READING the comparisons, it looks more like a clean up of some of the points and the addition of Biden throughout the listing. There's nothing major in policy change there that would make me think differently about his stances.
But yes, the proof is all in the pudding, and I'm glad there are sites like Versionista for comparison down the road.
If I recall correctly it has an SD memory slot, but like you mentioned if it doesn't support USB memory now I suspect someone will add the functionality soon! I just ordered one this morning so we'll see.:)
Basically...yes! People are willing to pay heaping spoon-fulls of cash to get the latest and greatest graphics cards that cost nearly the price of any of the new consoles. The PC experience is still the most immersive for many people, and until some other platform provides the unified development tools that MS has given in DirectX and XNA, I don't see that changing.
Gaming is the ultimate system pusher for most people I know. It's the reason people bother to get $2k machines when you could get a $500 box these days, which would be capable of doing 90% of the day-to-day tasks people want to do.
That line of thinking I can agree with. I do appreciate supporting standards, but intentionally making the user experience more aggravating does not help the cause.
FWIW, I do currently have Firefox 1.0.4 on my machine, I just never find occasion to need to use it. And honestly, it's probably just from what I'm accustomed to, I prefer the way IE renders pages. It's nothing specific, it's just a "feel".
Gee ok, so instead of Microsoft shoving changes down our throats, you all would rather become that which you despise and force your own preferences on people? Sounds peachy!
I'd rather deal with MS Product Activation and Windows DRM than go to a random smattering of sites that tell me, "You suck! You must become one of us!" which force me to install something I don't deem necessary. IE works for me just as well as any other browser out there, and I have just as many minor issues with Firefox, Opera, etc. as I do with IE.
Choose your battles, put your energy into something more useful.
Agreed, I feel the same way about the mag. True there's a lot of flash there too, but it's still a good place to see interesting stuff coming down the pipe and is often a good, light read.
Yes, because anything NOT on Linux MUST be worthless. Right? Wait. No, wait, that's sarcasm I smell.
I'll give you the torrent comment though; their site is been hammered into oblivion at this point.
You nailed it - you get to explore new music without the risk, I think it's a great idea. The only real problems I see would be:
1. If Napster started expiring old or infrequently listened to music. Maybe I'm the only one who likes a song. So what? As long as music doesn't disappear I'm happy.
2. If Napster only maintained and added mainstream music and didn't actively work to add all kinds of different music. Storage is cheap, there's no reason they can't suck up as much as possible, assuming all licensing works out.
Say what you will, but a large part of Galaxies' continued existance and continuing improvements (there's a ton of good that's just come into the game and is coming in the over the next several months) are due to the open-ended sandbox view that Raph tried to maintain in creating Galaxies. It's not to everyone's tastes due the some of the complexities in the game, but it's evolving into what I still think will be the best MMOG out there.
And yes, I'm a SWG fanboy, I have been from the beginning - only because I believe in the vision for the game and the potential of its systems.
Sounds good...I just tried hosting a Divx version of the file, PLEASE let me know if it works! My first time hosting a file too:)

Actually, scratch that. The download works, but the file is corrupt or something. It stops playing video about 3 minutes in and the audio stops soon after. Take this down please!

Ever heard of PowerShell? I know, horrible name, but it does give MS servers some scripting legs...

Nice description, I had seen those terms before but hadn't bothered to look into what they meant. :)

Why pay to jail these people.
Because capital punishment for spamming probably can't get sufficient public support.
I'll vote for it! Bandwidth stealing, time-consuming bastards...

Yup, looks like it's working fine! Thanks :) I'm going to post this on their site since it's got a few other seeds going...
