The fantastic thing about Gmail is its filters. I kept getting spam with un*su*bs*cr*ib*e in it. I just set a filter that would send it straight to the trash (skipping a step). So far, not one piece of spam has hit my Inbox, only the spambox.
I'm amazed that they're still calling it Doom. Once you take out Mars and Hell what do you have left? Guns maybe. The movie that is being made isn't Doom and I'm certain I will be renting this one, if at all.
I wonder what kind of maintinence goes into keeping a 'living brain' computer. Do you have to feed it? Keep it cool? Will it go crazy if you don't give it enough beer?
I was able to download and install SP2 from a bittorrent link and the install went smoothly. It takes a while to install, around 10-15 minutes and adds the Windows Security Center to your taskbar which forces you to hide another icon you will never use. I hope there will be a way to hide it in the future. It's completely useless!
I was busted a few months ago for downloading porn. The scary thing was I had only downloaded a few megabytes worth over the course of a few hours! My cable modem was shut off and I was sent a registered letter. I was able to settle out of court for $75. How embarrassing! Getting busted by the porn industry was the last thing on my mind! So, just to let you know, some porn companies are getting serious about copyright infringement.
The good thing however is I ordered a premium cable package where they uncapped my modem. When the cable company reactivated my account, my cable modem was still uncapped but I am paying for the basic cable price! That $75 will have paid itself off in 2 months!
"However, in a terrible privacy decision, the court said video monitoring of the computers and patrons was a-ok"
Terrible decision? I think this is highly appropriate. I'm certain the cyber-cafe owners want to know what is going on with THEIR computers. You are in public. Not your home, so therefore, you have no privacy.
What would be really cool would be a screensaver mode. Imagine your keyboard giving a trippy display or company logo while you're away?
College students will go nuts when this technology is applied to cups of Instant Ramen

What if they're going a rolling retest AND talking on the cell phone at the same time?
I guess everyone will go out of state for a new car. This will obviously not work out at all.
