This may be stretching things a bit, but it would also be sort of interesting (and cool) if they would also sell old controllers with soe sort of to usb adapter, so you could use the old controllers. just a thought.

From the sounds of the article, as well as previous attempts to protect their CDs, I get the feeling that a lot of this scheme is software bases. If this is the case, then i gotta ask - is there sort of a license agreement on the CD? How about a prompt asking if you want to install the software? What about a license agreement that pops up when the software is installed?

I'm going to jump the gun a little here and assume that it is at least partly software and that the answer to the rest of my questions is a "no"

Doesn't this make the software a corporate virus. Also, since there is no license agreement, does that mean that you have the right to reverse-engineer, decompile, and otherwise screw around with the software :)?

because, by invading Iraq, we became a symbol and a target. although Osama would not work with Saddam, once we invaded a middle-eastern country, Iraq became a rallying point for ALL islamic terrorists. Remember what people like osama and his followers are fighting for: to destroy the US/Isreal and to keep us out of their turf.

NEWS FLASH! Gaddafi is no longer a threat! Gaddafi has given up his weapons of mass destruction (yes, he did have them!) He is no longer a threat to the United States or any other nation. Why? Because of Bush's actions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

This is retroactive justification of the war. And, even if something were said about this before the war, i would still be opposed. Not because this is not a worthy goal, but because: 1) it would have been speculation - something NOBODY should go to war for, and 2) because the precedent it sets. Going to war over such shady reasons allows anybody to go to war with anyone else, and can easily be used to justify imperialistic wars, just like the Ancient Greeks did using preemption as an excuse (hmm... preemption, does that sound familiar.) While we can not prove, yet, that Saddam had ties with Al Qaeda, there is plenty of interesting evidence.

So, shoot first, ask questions later? If we can go to war without the proof to back up our acquisitions, then i want my tax dollars back, and i don't want to be eligible for the draft (what others decide they will die for is up to them.)

If my reading is correct and i think it is,) then the bill would do nothing as far as preventing things like the PATRIOT act, because those making such laws would undoubtedly want to keep this privacy report from reaching the public. Despite this, it would appear that the bill does protect us from accidentally invasive bills.

Tell me - *exactly* when does a "human embryo" become a "human"?

That is a good question. I think that the best analogy I?ve heard so far is this:
If you have 1 grain of sand, is it a mountain?
    How about 2?
And, if you keep piling grains of sand up, then at some point, you have to say that it is a mountain.
This seams to be the exact dilemma we face in the debate over abortion (and embryonic stem-cell research.)

However, in this case, the cells were still un-differentiated. Calling un-differentiated stem-cells a "human" would be an increadable leap. Cysts are removed from women's uteruses that have more human-like characteristics (they have differentated) then these embryonic stem-cells.
