As long as HL2 *eventually* comes out (and the key I got with my 9600 XT works), I don't mind the wait so much. I've got other games to keep me occupied.
I'm in the same boat. I picked up a 9600 XT thinking that I'd be playing HL2 sometime soon.
The sad thing is, if you don't download HL2 with Steam, your CD will be shipped in 4-6 weeks after the release date. The irony is that pirated copies will probably be out before the game hits the store shelves.
This isn't exactly a search engine but it helps out trying to identify music. I've used it with my CDs and it works surprisingly well.
