  1. App compat is 3rd partys responsibility on Vista Failing "Blackboard" College Courses · · Score: 0

While this IS slashdot and I am rather familiar with the typical MS bashings that go on here, application compatibility is the responsibility of the 3rd party ISV. Microsoft has been pushing application compatibility for the better part of the past 2 years, even flying bigger ISVs out to main campus for FREE to participate in the application compatibility labs. Yes MS is an easy target to flame but lets put blame in its proper place.

Why cant people just accept the fact that MS does these things for a logical business oriented reason. If you people have such a problem with their software why dont you get off your asses and go do something about it. Well this guys a hipocrit you say? Nay, Im moving to Washington next week to finish up my schooling at UW cause I know MS hires directly out of the UW Seattle CS Department

The english language lacks intelli-sense technology like that found in Visual Studio. I have found *nix programmers who dont use VS to be better at spelling and gramar than most Windows programmers. So is Microsoft yet again to be blamed for this travesty........ If so could K Develop introducing intelli-sense to its suite be the damnation of the smart *nix developer

Well, these so called 'elitist' who think theyre so high and mighty would probably make pretty crappy scientists. While granted Im not a rocket scientist and have yet to take a physics class in college. To be a good scientist you have to be open minded and willing to accept others theorys.

  10. I'm no rocket scientist, BUT...... on Gravitation Anomaly Measured · · Score: 0

It would seem to make sence that when 2 objects align their gravitational effects on a 3rd body would be "serial" and combine. If a pendulum were swinging at the time the gravitational force grew, it would sway further in one direction for some time causing the pendulum to move faster just by anertia?????

Last time I heard, is that lawsuits are bad for the whole nation, putting yet even more strain on taxpayers and other businesses. Maybe they should either rethink their business practices or rename themselves from Patriot Scientific to Communist Scientific.
