Or is it fast already? Does the hardware just decrease the exponent with one when it sees that the value to multiply x with is 0.5? Otherwise, it sounds like that's something you would want to do manually, right?
Satellites? (Can they see the bottles?) American officials visiting North Korea? (Are there even any?) Leaking North Korean officials? Uncercover agents? Guessing? (Who can check, anyway? Hehe.) Comparing with their own leader? (Because they are so similar in everything else.. eh..;-))
I can see how technology can fail (as in "the gun doesn't shoot when I pull the trigger") and be jammed (as in "the gun doesn't shoot when I pull the trigger because someon did something to it"), but what does it mean for power to fail? Sounds fuzzy. And we don't like fuzzy, do we?;-)
The student and his parents have requested that the teacher's anti-scientific remarks be corrected in open class
Hehe, will the same teacher do that? Kind of like lying again!:-) I mean, he'll then tell the kids something that is totally against his own beliefs. Funny. Anyway, isn't it, if anything, more non-scientific than anti-scientific, huh? If not, what is really science's take on the subject? That they won't go to hell?
My biggest fear would be that the system works, and we start getting messages from 5 years from now 8 years from now, but ten years from now...nothing.
It takes a lot longer than 4 seconds for a Slashdot story to load, particularly with the new AJAXy discussion system. I usually open up several things at a time in different tabs, which decreases the average loading time since I can read one thing while another loads. What browser were these people using?
I'm all with you. Actually, I was just about to post a comment mentioning Slashdot load time and the advantage of tabs -- then I saw yours. Take this as an informal up-moderation. (I have no mod points.)
I wonder if any of the spider-based web archiving sites caught it in time.
Google seems to have indexed 290 pages (mostly PDFs) from the server. I don't know how to get them in full text, though. Please let us know how, the one who finds out.
the great part about it is that there will be a huge number of false positives since half the songs the big 5 put out are all the same.
Note from Big Five: For increased diversity, and your listening pleasure, Sony has teamed up with BMG, so from now on, you may refer to us by Big Four. Thank you.
As if we wouldn't realise your intentions, huh?;-) So, give us the details. It's apparently in the states (California), but what is the job about, really? And the salary, is it superstar too?
Thanks.
Hi!
Could you give me pointers to that sword and purse? I wish to read it for myself. Thanks.

So, that's the goal for a fighter pilot! I always wondered.

Weren't we, just recently, all for OpenOffice?
Something tells me that government wouldn't switch over to free software too soon.
Slashdot summaries are like that.
Just as I thought the station itself would if they didn't boost the altitude from time to time.
Slightly off topic, but do you remember this cool guy?
Yeah, right. Cause it would never happne to you, would it? ;-)
...when you're at home, if that's what you are talking about?
Where are those anyway? I never saw them.

Heh, I would have said you were European, judging from the spelling in your sig. :-)
Why am I modded "Interesting"? This was supposed to be funny! CSS and transparency, are far from fully implemented!
