If they were serious about teaching French, classes like gym, art, and mathematics would be taught in French to supplement the 30 minutes.
On the other hand, why should a student who struggles with French have their math education compromised?
Agreed. I spent the first 2.5 years of college walking around with a bulky VAIO laptop. I == that geeky girl in the corner.
I got a powerbook over intercession, and during the last 2 months, and now I have the boy with the iPod in his pocket, the girl with an iMac in her dorm room, and everyone who just naturally gravitates to shiny objects coming over and taking a peek and saying something to me.
The fact that the iPod is so damn small also adds to the personal space effect - its physically unobtrusive Rather than clunking around with cargo pockets full of cds, batteries, and your diskman, you're just walking around with your own personal soundtrack playing in your head.
second that. as far as battery life goes, they're awesome. i've had a powerbook for about a month now, and i'm able to take notes in class, play games during bad classes, and sit around using wifi on campus for hours and never need to plug into AC. with my vaio, i was lucky to get about an hour. for portability, the 12" models sit neatly on tiny lecture desks, slide into a bag, and won't break your back.
if you buy anything from apple, go through the website and use the educational discount (i saved $200 on the PB).

I have a powerbook and I use a USB mouse as much as possible, and not because of the one button issue - the trackpad is dead slow.
Which is important, we'll want to recognize him inside the robot costume in HHGTG...
