    BTW... I remember you. I was working in the compiler department when you were building that test suite management system. You had a minor run-in with a very young and somewhat dickish engineer. That would be me. In the ~25 years since I can certainly say I'm older and I hope I can say I'm less dickish.

    I have FiOS and until MythTV supports CableCARD, it's rather useless. A google of the site just turns up a dry wiki definition of CableCARD and a bunch of forum postings that degenerate into DRM-related poo flinging.

    I have found the Ubuntu Community Documentation to be pretty good for cookbook procedures. Their forums pick up the slack for acute issues.

    ...many are greedy and get what they deserve, if not far more. I was an adopted child and never once believed my "real" parents were royalty. I remain unaffected by similar fantasies later in life. That said, many elderly do not have the cognitive function required to identify these scams for what they are... many suffer at the hands of these fraudsters and deserve neither jail, nor the financial loss.

    TiVoToGo can easily fill a video iPod with perfectly legal recordings transfered from a TiVo for no additional cost beyond the TiVo setup and a copy of the TiVo Desktop Plus package. You can save a little money by not buying the Plus package if you already have software that can do the transcoding for you. Podcasts, etc, can cost nothing, as well...
